Cricket Academy Feedback/Suggestions/Bugs Thread

Apologies if this is previously suggested, but one thing about the player creation bugs me (and it's really one thing, everything else so far is spot on) - but the players are all so ripped.

i'm creating an England's worst xi and lots of the players I want to create are weeds or tubs of lard... but no matter what I do all the players have forearms like iron bands. it's a bit weird pushing out the gut but still seeing super ripped arms.

dunno if anything can be done about this.

I'm not sure there is much we can do about it, I do get your point though.

Maybe in the next iteration of the game it would be nice to create likes of David Boon, Merv Hughes, Arjuna Ranatunga, Mike Gatting, Inzi etc.

My CA has now started loading only in 800 x 600 mode. Changes to the config file do nothing. What should I do? Reinstall the program? I have made a few players but not uploaded them to the server yet. If I reinstall the program, will I lose them?

I believe not, but play it safe - first upload them to the server, and do backup your cas000.sav before reinstaling. :thumbs

I doubt a reinstall would do anything - so it just happened all of a sudden with no change?

Yeah I just turned on the computer and went in and it was 800x600 and hence very fuzzy.

I'm running Windows on a bootcamp for the retina macbook and Windows doesn't cope well with these ridiculously high resolutions so there could be an issue there.

CA is a bit laggy because it gets shown at the full (and unnecessary for gaming) 2880x1800 resolution. In the config file if I try to change it to anything but 2880x1800 it automatically changes to 800x600 and looks rubbish. When I play games I normally set them at 1920x1200, otherwise it's too laggy.

I think the amount of gamers who will play this on a retina display via bootcamp is low, so I wouldn't worry about it too much, and I'm assuming the full game will have a resolution setting in game.

Reinstalling worked because the config file went back to 2880x1800, so basically I have the choice between that or 800x600. It's really not a problem to have a bit of minor lag in the editor, but for the full game I think it'd be an issue.

On my laptop, by default it was 1366*768 which is a little laggy. Since I don't know the various resolutions other than the common ones, I tried List of common resolutions - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, changed it to 1280*800, but then it automatically changes to 800*600 which is very crappy. Any suggestions?

Your computer reverts to 800 by 600 resolution because your screen can display at most 768 pixels column-wise. Although horizontally your laptop is capable of displaying 1280 pixels, it's the amount of pixels vertically that constraints your laptop from doing so.

EDIT:

This explanation is valid only if your laptop's maximum resolution is 1366 by 768.
I'd also suggest you to try 1280 by 768 and 1280 by 720 resolutions.
