Cricket Heroes - testing & feedback

Ok, Cape Cobras and Dolphins squads done. Decided to take my time doing them and just finished them. Not too hard to do so I should easily finish the South African teams by tomorrow.

at least the structure isn't so damn stupid. "Oh yes, let's have 100 different teams around India and put them into 20 different competitions but we won't let any team play both First Class and One Day cricket just to inconvenience everybody."

It's definately the last nation I'm doing and I'm unlikely going to be bothered doing the domestic teams.

It's totally up to you what teams you do, naturally.

The Indian domestic competitions (between the state teams) are:
Ranji Trophy (Super) - first-class comp
Vijay Hazare Trophy - one-day comp
Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy - T20 comp
They all appear to have the same teams in them.

The other competitions are regional, corporate or 'minor counties' equivalent (Ranji Plate).

Never get me to work on a weekend. I get even more bored doing it since I know I could be doing funner things. Just finishing off the Warriors team at the moment and will do the Lions tomorrow so that will be all Australian and South African teams done.

I've nearly made 250 players already :facepalm

@hedger: Hehe, welcome to my world :P Thanks for all your hard work though - I'm working on the referral system at the moment and will upload a new update later this morning.

EDIT: Crap, I clearly didn't think the referral system through properly - I'm going to upload the update without the referral system. That'll be in the next update along with a domestic mode.

oh bitch, that means I have to finish the database before I can get a referral system. You hate me, don't you :p

@hedger: Hehe, this is not extortion in any way, means or form :) I just need to rethink how I'm going to implement the referrals. There are now thin snicks in the game and the umpire *sometimes* (very rarely) fails to give it out. I'm not sure how I should make the player aware of this - maybe I should start introducing sounds...

Also, I was thinking of adding real umpires to the game - each would have statistics determining how they judge the game. Some would be extremely tight on wide calls, others would have poor eyesight (*cough* Bucknor *cough*) and would judge thin nicks very poorly and yet others would be more lenient with lbw's. What do you think?

EDIT: Quick screeny to show the new game balance after much tweaking (the computer is playing against itself)...

brilliant idea:D
There could be an option to chose the umpires with their ratings. You could also allow us to create umpires which will add an different fun to play the game:D

@Meet: Will do - this is actually one of the easier additions to make to the game. Would anyone like to rate the following umpires please?

Steve Davis, AUS
Daryl Harper, AUS
Simon Taufel, AUS
Rod Tucker, AUS
Ian Gould, ENG
Billy Bowden, NZ
Tony Hill, NZ
Aleem Dar, PAK
Asad Rauf, PAK
Marais Erasmus, RSA
Asoka de Silva, SRI
Billy Doctrove, WI

I need a rating of 1 - 5 for the following attributes:

Wides (1 - not strict, 5 - very strict)
No Balls (1 - misses no-balls regularly, 5 - spots them like a hawk)
LBW (1 - tends to give batsmen out, 5 - rarely gives LBW decisions)
Nicks (1 - tends to give near-edges out, 5 - only gives near-edges out when it has actually nicked the ball)

Cheers
Kurt

@hedger: Could you take a look at these screenshots please and let me know if it looks at all realistic to you? I'm simulating matches in the Sheffield Shield...

@Nabeel: You can if you want, but I haven't decided on paid 3D modeler position just yet...

If the game is free of cost, then I think I would work for free on this game,I don't know right now whether the game is commercial or free of cost,I replied that message considering the game as commercial one
