A nice victory to start off. You should try posting the scorecards with the regular font or they become quite cluttered and difficult to make out. Also, it'd be great if you could correct Stephen Fleming's name in the sim. I know it's not a big deal, but it's kinda annoying to see one of your favorite players' name spelt wrong.

Here's what we'll go with for the 2nd ODI. Basically the same XI but with a slight change in batting order. We're already stocked with pace options which should prove quite handy on a green pitch, so I'm retaining Vettori as our spin option. He's way too good to leave out anyway.

New Zealand's pace bowling department started beautifully getting Shrewin Campbell out at at an early score of 6. Brian Lara came in and stitched two consecutive fifty partnerships with Ridley Jacobs and Shiv Chanderpaul. He was dismissed after making a well deserved 60 on a rather difficult pitch to bat on. After his wicket, no other batsmen could reach the double digit scores. A joint bowling effort from the New Zealand side led by Shane O'Conner restricted WI to 148.

The West Indies' bowling lineup gave New Zealand a scare as they took them to 88/6. But important innings for Roger Twose and Adam Parore stabilized the innings before Dillon and Ambrose got Twose and Chris Harris respectively. But a cool headed Adam Parore took New Zealand home. Shane O'Conner was awarded man of the match for his figures of 3/34.

That was a superb collective bowling effort to bundle out WI for 148 after they had gotten off to a fairly good start. It got a bit too close for comfort in the end, but quite understandable given that we were up against two legends in Ambrose and Walsh on a green pitch. It's a good thing we bat so deep.

If only WI would have played Hoops instead of a King or Rose, they might have scored more runs and prolly even got your team out cheaply.

The Pakistan innings was a show of only two partnerships, one between Saeed Anwar and Ijaz Ahmed and the other between Inzemam Ul Haq and captain, Wasim Akram. Inzemam in particular, played very well in front of a bowling attack led by Javagal Srinath. He finished with 77 not out. It was due to his innings that Pakistan reached 229.

India started off in a solid way on this flat deck. Openers Sachin Tendulkar and Samir Dighe made a fifty run partnership with the former going on to make a fifty. The Hero of the last match, Rahul Dravid, played a really agressive knock of 90 runs and took India into a commendable position. It was after his wicket, the Aussie bowlers wreaked havoc dismissing India for a mere 242. Jason Gillespie was the pick of the bowlers taking 4-57

Australia's start was not as good as the Indians as Javagal Srinath took out the dangerous Matthew Hayden for 6. After his wicket, Mark Waugh and Adam Gilchrist came together and made a partnership of 65 with the latter making a fifty. Mark Waugh continued his superb display of batting with Ricky Ponting stitching a century partnership. At this moment, all looked done and dusted for the Indians but then, the Kumble storm arrived. Anil Kumble took 4 wickets including the set batsmen, Mark Waugh and Ricky Ponting and a dangerous Andrew Symonds. But in the end, Mark's brother, Steve Waugh steered Australia to the win, with help from Jason Gillespie, with the latter winning the man of the match.
