Cricket Leagues Feedback, Discussions & Announcements

Seriously, some of the comments are brilliant. Remember, there was a time when you yourself was a 'newbie' and started a league. If there would have been restrictions then?

One league per member is the way to go. We can have something like premier leagues of top 8/9/10 nations. One champions league which turn wise each league manager will run. We can actually have proper time periods in which a particular thing happens. Something which looks neat and professional. This way we can have the other leagues (non-nations) running as well without there being too many leagues.

Surely a long process but, if once put into action it can do wonders. Since there isn't going to be any PCCL or something like that, we can make these leagues more enjoyable rather than pain.

Ok, guys. I am going on a trip today, won't have any internet access while I'm gone. Will be back in Monday so, the league managers should take notice of this since I won't log in for four days.

Muhaiminul, if you don't mind should I take BKB in then? Otherwise, the auction would hold up. You can co-manage with him when you're back.

I'm not averse to newbie starting up leagues, although I believe in that one league per member and this. I'd love to have things sorted out professionally though, and there being no overkill of the IPL or the other sort of leagues. Perhaps we need to be more creative with our ideas?

Just don't allow managers to start a league unless they've successfully completed one . 20/20 PRO , Rohit Doshi , Arjind are prime examples striking my mind . Also , don't allow managers to start a league who boast little experience in that section . Sorry for being the voice of doom newbies - but it's very tough to run one ! And obviously , the eradication of the non stop IPLs might be the solution regarding Hedger's comment .

For the best results , make me a STAFF MEMBER . :D (JKS)

20/20 PRO definitely won't be starting another one, he had like seven failed ones and I gave him one last chance and he said he's definitely going to finish it, but it failed in the drafts.

Btw my NZPL will more than likely be back in a month or so in my mid semester break. :)

Keep it simple, allow one member to have 1 league at a time. If he fails to complete one then he should be given another chance, if he fails to complete this one as well, he shouldn't be allowed to start a league for 2 months. One thing that I hate is, whenever a new member starts a league, he will be discouraged by comments like, you cant start a league, gain some experience first and so on. This isn't the way to treat a newbie, your role is to guide him rather than discouraging him, newbies should be allowed to start a league. They will fail once but the second time around they should do well, only if they are creating a league for fun. It's important that you start a league for fun, if you don't have interest in your own league then it is not going to be a success.

And don't forget Rohit Doshi , I saw your VM conversations with him ... You really should have been more strict on him . :p

@ Aditya : Totally agree .

@ Varun : What's AWTA ?

These are my perspectives of newbies starting a new league :

ADVANTAGES :

1. Numerous number of leagues being opened up , which is a boost to the cricket leagues section for its gaining significant demand & interest .

DISADVANTAGES :

1. Leagues put into a full stop even before the blink of an eye citing various difficulties .
2. Most of the newbies ripping off the works of other league managers . Not blaming them at any cost .
3. Maximum success rate guaranteed - 20%
4. Most of these newbies just run leagues for league's sake . No pre-planned ideas , just run a league , and make a name for yourself .

I'm trying to be as honest as possible .

Australian Wool Testing Authority :rolleyes

(First thing in google)

Agree with the Above.

Lol, I thought User was agreeing with Haarithan as to what AWTA meant, it went straight over my head that he actually posted what it did mean...
