The reason there's such little interest is that no one knows who you are. In order to get people to participate in your league, you should participate in some others first. I'd forget about running a league for the time being, and just participate in a few for a while.

okay mate i will do that :thumbs

Why do people have the squads, fixtures, etc. scattered instead of having them in first post? Love Biggy's index, everything in one place.

I suppose it would be a little easier to keep tabs of. If you want to edit fixtures, just edit the post with the fixtures in them instead of scrolling though a load of text.

But personally I like everything in one post.

IMO i feel its much convenient in keeping tabs rather than scrolling down and down through the entire first post given my internet connection is bullsh1t . And also , it becomes a bit confusing while editing .

Lol, I have a separate team page for every team.

I have my squads/stats on the first post, then everything else on the third post, which is directly below the first post.

As far as I know most people just need the squads/stats, so the closer to the top they are the better.

I post the tables at the end of each round, but how Biggy does it is also good where it's at the top.

I still prefer the fixtures after the squads/stats though, as I'd say they're of less importance, and I look at them a lot less than I do my squad/stats.

I have squads at main post and fixtures and Tables on second. It looks convenient and neat.

Is it only in my system or do all of you happen to notice 'left handed batsman' present for both the opening batsmen during the beginning of an innings (just before the sim starts to simulate an innings , when the two opening batsmen profiles are displayed) irrespective of whether you attributed them to RHB/LHB ??

Check this one out .. Bell is noway LHB , but still the sim displays Left Handed batsmen for both the batsmen . This happens for all opening batsmen . BTW this was taken from my Season 1 archive files when i was just a rookie , so it has nothing to do with the current ratings .

Oh yeah, it happens when you have the striker who is LHB the non-striker is also displayed as LHB. If the striker is is RHB then non striker also appears to be RHB.

Just another player selection i came up with the other day, pretty easy to understand and i can't see to many other problems with it. Anyway, it's like this,

Before this starts, every team in the league must be given a budget (of virtual money, not vcash), i'd say 5million, but it could be whatever.

1) All teams pm the manager of the league the squad that they would like.

2) The league manager sorts through the squads and finds any player clashes.

3) The player clashes are then posted in the thread, and managers of the teams involved in the player clashes send in bids via pm for each player they wanted that was involved in a clash, this is a silent bid, so no last minute bids. (NOTE, managers can opt out of bidding for a player if they want to) I'd suggest giving a 24-hour window for the bids to be sent in.

4) If a team does not have the maximum number of players in their squad, they can pick a 'free' agent to join their squad after the silent bidding has finished at a certain cost (I'd suggest 250,000).

5) The squads should soon be complete and it should only have taken a couple of days.

Obviously there are going to be certain players that everybody wants in their team, but this should encourage managers to pick players that they think other managers might not pick in order to save their budget for players that might cost more in a silent bid.

I'd like some Advice on whether this is a good idea and if people want to use it/make their own variations of it, go for it. Looking back, i should have used this in my league, the draft is taking ages because managers are inactive or people are leaving half way through.
