Cricket Leagues - Support and Advice

How do I create a backup file for Seydur Rehman while using dosbox. I never created anything, so what do I do when I'm done making it. I want to test everything out, to see if the ratings are okay. But then if I do that, the stats will be different from the tournament I want to start.

Copy your cricsim folder and paste it somewhere for each round. You can use the backup when there's a mess.

Just edit the commentary lines while posting the match. Well, I've edited commentary in a simulator recently.

I'm pretty sure if the answer was that simple, he wouldn't be posting it.

My guess is that, if you're talking about editing the actual program, it'd be tough work, if you could find a way of opening it in a QuickBasic IDE. That is, of course, assuming that you can program in QuickBasic.

I think
is there anyways to edit the commentary of crick sim?

Code:
2.6 R Singh to Rahane, FOUR, Who needs Gaurav when weve got Ajinkya Rahane

End of over 3 (13 runs)
         MIAMI SURFERS 21/1
         (R/R: 7.00)
         RP Singh 1.0-0-13-0
         Ajinkya Rahane 10(6b 2X4)
         Shane Watson 7(6b)

Yes! Pretty easy to modify it in bits and pieces. Bradman modified to Gaurav.

It wasn't done via simple notepad. I used Hex Editor.

You can do that using the hex-editor available in Cricket07 resources forum. You can ask for some of the commentary lines from Fenil and me.

which file do i have to edit.:spy

The sim itself. Most EXEs are unencrypted, and the strings and integer variables with their default values have a place fixed in the app's memory itself. These values, especially strings can be detected easily in any text editor, including notepad. But notepad doesn't read null values so all bytes having values '0' become '20'(which is blank space) when you save it. Thus, the application will fail.

If you don't know what strings are, replace string with sentance and re-read :p

Iridium's overlay idea is great. I'll use it in my leagues. Thanks to Fenil for suggesting and making it.

BTW, can anyone move ORC and PCL to archives sub-forum?
