Yes but are the Cult members originally Mafia or Townie? It says on Wikipedia that:

They cannot recruit certain people, including the mafia, and sometimes if they try to recruit a mafia member, they are killed but that is a variable decided by the moderator

So they recruit a mafia they die?

Cult = There's one cult leader, who is individually aligned, or well Team IPL in this case. He/she may recruit depending on conditions given by the moderator. A cult usually has a limit of members, but this again may or may not be known by the cult leader. When he/she reached the limit, they'll be informed. Cults can't recruit certain people too.

That's basically it.

Edit: Whether they die in their attempts to recruit a Mafia member, depends on the theme and the moderator. It's up to the players to deduce that.

Cults are neither townies, nor Mafia. They are a separate entity. They try to grow by recruiting town members.
Is that right?

The man in the suit decided it was time for a new ally. And, he?d send out his message. He waited patiently until there was a knock on the door. He opened it and saw that it was the chosen man. It was a pity that he had lost an ally earlier today, but now he would gain another one. The chosen man walked forward and signed the contract. He was now an ally. The man in the suit motioned towards the door and they both left the room and headed back to blend in with the group.

gudduthemaster sat in the dressing room quietly. He was thinking about the day?s proceedings. He had nearly been lynched, but somehow had survived. He knew his time was running out though. But, what he didn?t realise was that he had run out of time. A man creeped up to gudduthemaster and used a rope to choke him, until he could breathe no longer.

MaD, treva, Abhas, mattfb and BKB1991 all looked at each other. And they realised gudduthemaster was missing. They quickly began to search the stadium, and eventually they ended up in the dressing room. gudduthemaster lay on a chair, unconscious. mattfb went forward to check his pulse...there was no pulse. mattfb then looked for an ID, and he found one on gudduthemaster?s body. gudduthemaster was:

You are Yusuf Pathan, Yuseless, Team Cricket-aligned. Since you are useless, you have no role. You are the vanilla townie. But, it is important that you fight for the sake of the town.

You win when Team Cricket wins, if you survive till the end.

So there are 5 of us left and we know at least two of them are with the new IPL cult. I'm still not convinced by some people who role claimed, it's not difficult to search the wikipedia page and pick out a good role.

If my calculations are correcrt we have atleast two IPL players, and either two townies and one mafia or two mafia and one townie.
At this stage:
FOS: Abhas, was so confident that he had Gazza as a mafia and I am pretty sure now that he is either IPL aligned or Mafia. Plus remember that Harris didnt understand his role clearly indicating Abhas is not an innocent townie. I say we lynch him now while he is sleeping

I think there are only two IPL aligned cuz if they outnumber the rest they win, so if we dont get the cult member now in this lynch we are dead.
