The Olympics, The Atheltics World Championships and now the Ashes.

Australia, we pwn you. We pwn you hard.

Are you guys gonna actually now remember the next series down under?

I'll say South Africa are definately the best side atm. Just based on stats. Australia are going down. The series later on in the year SL vs India in India will be a cracker. Will decice whose second behind SA in my opinion..

Great stuff by England! Awesome win.

Is it just me, or did Australia not look that hungry to win this? After the 2005 ashes they came out with such a focus they were unbeatable (albeit, they did have a few legends in the team then which they are missing) but I certainly expected Australia not to necessarily play better, but to show a little more hunger.

And that lack of hunger makes me reckon Australia deserve that 4 spot. At home England are the better team, in Australia Australia are the better team.

The only trouble is that you will have to wait until your next home series to win again. It'll keep going back and forth for a few series I reckon.

The best team for me is South Africa, however I think India would be the hardest to beat at home.

We won't win for a few Ashes series, I reckon. I'm just glad we have other sports to brag about in case.

You guys will have a more experienced line-up for Down Under I reckon. Hopefully the Aussies put in the youth policy and get rid of a few *Cough*Ricky Ponting*Cough*

Yeah that's it. Blame it on Ponting.

1.South Africa
2.Sri Lanka

3.Australia/India

India and Australia are pretty much even in my books, but a lot will depend on how well they take the retirements of Ponting, Hussey and Tendulkar, Dravid.

Although that might not happen for awhile.

I feel both Australia and India are better than Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka are tough to beat at home but we (India) lost the last series to them largely due to the Mendis mystery. This year's series in India will decide who's better (although we got to beat them in their den too). SA is comfortably the best by some distance. India needs Zaheer back. Ishant should continue his test form, we might need Sreesanth back to prop up the pace attack and not rely on 'in and out' guys like RP Singh, Irfan, Nehra, etc.

Tendulkar and Dravid might not retire until 2011 (maybe even more). Laxman should be in for more than that (he is in a golden run right now for Lancashire). With guys like Badri, Pujara, Rahane and Kohli waiting, we should withstand the major retirements better.

Seeing the recent performance for me it'll be India...They've won in NewZealand and even at home they've beaten England and Australia. In 2007 they won on English soil after a long time...So I think India will be number one..No Doubt....South Africa are also Close opponents to us...

Not in Tests, you haven't.
