dbc hacks: fearsome tweak v2.90 +minigame v0.03

rarely bother me. indeed in fairness as the hack showed the guy who scored the 50 had skill 47 so actually tailender was unfair he's a lower order. although there was a 30-odd from a guy with only 19.

i switched back to 2.10.

a nicely set up game. it's on legend and i'm playing as Associate All Time, batted in 2.10 with chances at 11 and scored 481 in 97.3 overs. Sri Lana All time reached 230-odd/3 on 2.10 chances 12 and i played up to 390/7 on default 2.11. switched back to 2.10 and innings finished on 437.

So it's almost lunch on the 3rd day, and i'm about to start my second innings 44 ahead.

We're your AI dismisses all pretty genuine with the chance level set as that?

When I was bowling last night I almost bowled somebody playing on to their stumps. This is the first time I've ever seen an inside edge go towards the stumps. Has anyone been dismissed like this? I've had plenty of outside edges off drives clip the stumps but nothing like this. I wonder if this is attributed to the tweak or just pure luck? I didn't take a good angle but the wicketkeeper takes the ball down the leg side, it honestly makes me wonder how the ball didn't hit the stumps

the 2.10 ones were good - 1 edge 3rd slip, bowled after clipping pads (but in front of stumps, would have been LBW - not one of those that were going way down leg first) and another bowled moving past outside edge.

then there were 3 caught in the outfield with 2.11 and one caught and bowled

last 3 with 2.10 were caught behind, a bowled through the gate, and a bowled where the drift and spin took it past the bat

the main problem is trying to solve too much things together:
the team must post a competitive score, there must be chances of catches in the slip cordon (so is not useless), a strong team must
win against a weak teams most of the times, and an AI batsmen must be able to score a 100 sometimes, and still bowling should be fun to do.
So there's a little of confusion in my head right now, but i think it can be done.

Bluebagger I have had numerous played ons, both batting and bowling, when using the patch and when not. Sometimes thin edges, sometimes hitting the body and rolling onto the stumps, sometimes thick edges.

Sorry if I am overloading you. What you have achieved to this point is nothing short of remarkable, and if you added the ability to voluntarily donate for it then I would have no hesitation in doing so.

What I personally feel lets the game down is that the attributes on this amazing and much vaunted DBC academy don't appear to mean much when one bowls at the AI. I can change the bridge of a cricketer's nose, his philtrum, but I cannot create the difference between Alistair Cook and David Warner for example.

I think the edges and dismissals are incredible, sorted, in my opinion. I don't think teams have to be tied by posting competitive scores or to make bowling fun. I think if attributes mattered, if you roll over a team for not many and you find bowling too easy, you play against a better side. This is how most sports games work. I'd ask for mistakes as per skill, batsmen strength to show in how hard they hit the ball, and this mentality stuff to actually matter a bit. However I have taken one look at cheat engine and it does not look simple in the slightest. What you have done until now is nothing short of incredible.

I've had all of those well but I've never seen something like that with an inside edge off a cut shot. It's always off the pads of outside edge driving for me

Oh true that, i dont think i have seen a cut chop on before.

Is there a way to kick the ball away? I've had so many bowled where the ball rolls to the stumps and I could kick it away but I don't know how

Nope

I think 2.10 was close. I got 3 early wickets including an edge, then as the ball got older they had a big partnership. One play 80-odd and Sangakarra on his way to a ton (completed under 2.11) and they looked like going towards a decent total

Latest hack, bowling as both teams on legend, I've got Zimbabwe 210 all out. Craig Ervine who was the best batsman was the top scorer, and no tailender hit more than 18. Australia 78/1 in reply. Could well be that skilling is more relevant now as Franco suggests. Will be happy if Aus hit 350 or so in reply. A really good mix of dismissals.
