dbc hacks: fearsome tweak v2.90 +minigame v0.03

Thanks for the suggestion. I am sorry if I confused you but the mod loads fine and the agression sliders works perfectly. The game crashes only if I turn on the 'skill meter.' The bowler takes the run up and the game crashes when he is about to deliver the ball.

I played a match with the v2.12 turned on as Indo-Pak XI against South Africa ATB. The difficulty level was 'Legend' and the track was grassy. I batted first and lost a couple of early wickets but Dravid and Azharuddin steadied the ship with a 50 run partnership. Dravid played a trademark innings scoring 63 off 54 and Dhoni played a cameo at the end scoring 51 0ff 34. The team scored 168-6 in 20 overs. I recorded the last 5 overs of the innings but shamefully the video is full of glitches :(

South Africa ATB tried their best to chase down the target but fell short by 7 runs. ABD was the pick of their batsmen as he scored a 34 ball 57. It was fun bowling against AI. You had nailed the physics in your earlier versions but the only thing missing was AI not being agressive enough in the slog overs. This can now be fixed by setting the slider on 'Attacking' for 15 overs and on 'Chris Gayle' for the last 5 overs.

@Bluebagger I got a dismissal similar to the one you've mentioned.

yes, and it seems it crashes if you use the first slider before the second slider. So do this: after the hack start, DONT touch the first slider and activate the second slider and choose a setting,
then bowl a delivery. It should not crash, at least is working for me. After that, i was able to use both the sliders (mentality and skill) with no problem.

No bro, still crashes. I am having enough fun just with the agression slider.

Is there anything that can be done about how often the AI hits the stumps? The amount of direct hits is annoying

This looks amazing. Am yet to try it but thank you for taking on board my suggestions so quickly.

So let me get this right, we will be at a stage where the batsmen mentality will affect their shot selection and aggression, batsman skill will affect their skill, and that this will be automatic?

Take my money

This just tested on aggressive, not even Chris Gayle mode.

So yes, the patch definitely works but maybe needs to be toned down a bit :)

Will have a look at normal and defensive now.

wow ^^ what team was bowling

Admittedly Zimbabwe.

Using defensive setting only, Zim are 38/2 off 14.5 overs!

I think Defensive and normal look great, perhaps attack and Chris Gayle are a bit too over the top, but I havent tested them enough to confirm that. I think for me normal = a good amount of attack and defensive = defensive.

Zimbabwe now 59/3 from 27. Really nice to see. Edging occasionally and not blasting the ball everywhere as they are trying to hang in there.

So are the other improvements in this hack as well? I mean do I need to do anything to have the edges etc as in the other tweaks??

Yours truly,

Confused.

I'm getting a perfect amount of edges with 2.12 and nothing else. About a third of dismissals I think which is what you would expect from real test cricket.

And you don't touch any of the sliders?

In 2.12 batsmen seem to edge depending on ability, so I don't want to change the skill slider. I change the aggression slider depending on who is on strike between defensive and normal.

Thanks, that's what I was doing but was unsure. thanks for the confirmation.

So I've been testing all afternoon and can confirm that the aggressive and chris gayle modes are a bit over the top. On aggressive almost every ball is an aerial 6 or 4. Good to see that they make a difference, but they need to be toned down a bit in my opinion.

Is there any way that we can get the "strength" attribute to make a difference? Can we change how powerful a batsman is?

Here is an awesome innings, bowling against Zimbabwe with a combination of normal and defensive, depending on the batsman and the situation. (Predominantly defensive except for Williams batting with the lower order)
