dbc hacks: fearsome tweak v2.90 +minigame v0.03

What a choker...

Dilshan was dropped twice and once edged wide of gully, Malinga dropped at gully when they still had 3 to win! An epic match. Tense as hell at the end.

We are at the stage where we can hack the camera angles and change batter aggression. I always thought batsmen all behaved the same way, so now we can hack it with an aggression slider. I assume you know batsmen can edge now depending on their ability, or lack thereof, and this is all automatic now. It's all amazing stuff.

Franco - I decided to take a look myself to see if I could hack the strength the batsman hits the ball depending on their strength attribute, and wow, how do you know which is which? Something like 93 million values coming up on a DBC14 scan. I wish I wasn't such a noob at this.

Ah okay that seems interesting and it's all in one patch? What one do you recommend?

I recommend all of them, they have all brought something new to the game, and they all do what they say they do. However 2.14 being the newest is the most feature packed.

Franco it keeps crashing when pressing overide ground to the desktop when creating a tour, also tried the method when doing custom match and choosing the ground and then loading the save the ground hasnt changed. Any steps on how to get it working? Was it working for you?

run the game, when you are in the dbc menu start the hack. Create a tour and save it. Go in custom match and select a ground, then exit. Now load the tour save and it should have the ground that you choose. Please note that you dont need to edit in the academy, just start a tour and use the hack before starting a match (you dont need to press "override ground"
in the academy).

great work franco it works, but is there any way we an do this for a full series like a 3 match ODI series, so after choosing the ground for the 1st odi, could we re-select a ground for a 2nd odi etc? it seems it can only work for a 1 match on tour

after the first game of the tour, i tried to exit and selected a new stadium in Casual Match, then i reloaded the tour save and it shows the stadium selected.

Hey guys,

Had a question regarding the 2 sliders - skill and aggression introduced in franco's most recent patches. My experience was a bit similar to that of a few others - in aggressive & Chris Gayle mode, I got thrashed around at 12-15 RPO without much wickets. (Skill slider was at 12 then). So in order to temper this, do you think it will be a good idea to reduce the skill slider when we decide that the AI should go 'aggressive' (maybe 9 for aggressive and 7 for CG) since it is natural for the increased chances of getting out.

Let me know your thoughts. Will also try out some permutations and let you know how it works out.

Understand that our rockstar @francobaldo1 will be coming up with a version to automate this shortly. Thought this might maybe help him with a few insights on the pacing.

Yeah defensive and normal are okay, anything more is just a complete six fest with little chance of getting a wicket, you aren't wrong there. I think Franco is aware of this and it would be nice to have this automated with their mentality. Tied with strength actually making a difference with how hard the batsman hit the ball, and I can't really see much more that needs doing to the AI. Look at this scorecard. I've never bowled at tailenders before where they have totally capitulated and couldn't hit a ball, it was awesome. The only weak point was that a stronger aggressive player, Peter Moor, was also the slowest, or no quicker than the rest, which has been a bit of a consistent theme even with stronger teams. Australia responded with 350 odd for 3. Khawaja and Warner both tonning up.

Is there any way to work out why mods break during tournament and tours?

Bluebagger what happens exactly?

Langeveldt i am testing some code to tweak the strength of the batsman, probably i upload a patch later
