Played a t20 on legend. India v England, England openers started playing like ABD. It was like I was seeing a real match with sixes being hit over the keeper, never seen these kind of shots earlier. That Suryakumar Yadav style leg cut for six was fantastic. They scored 92 in 8 overs and then Jadeja came and took 2 wickets, 1 edge and 1 bowled. They went on to score 192.
I don't know if it was because of hack but the wickets and misses were truly fantastic.
Well done.

had a tailender edge to four by swinging madly for a slog in the death overs of t20, its stuff like this that makes it really special and realistic

So I tried version 0.04 but only for 5 overs as I have to head out now. Playing on veteran with high pressure AUS vs SAF.

It seems like the AI still struggles to score runs, I haven't had any edges yet but did get a wonderful bowled. Faulkner bowling over the wicket to Amla who tried to play a drive and it snuck in between bat and pad to uproot off stump which also took out the middle stump Also it seems like you've modified the outfield? The ball seems to go a lot quicker across the outfield now? (This match is on a dusty pitch so not sure if that's how dusty pitch outfield has always been).

If we could get the batsmen to score how they usually do and keep getting these varied dismissals then it'd be perfect...not asking for much right?

EDIT: Forgot to add SAF are 15-1 after 5 overs...so scoring is a bit low (I'm playing 50 over ODI)

blockerdave i think the hack makes the shots difficult, for example with a new career player if you dont train all shots are difficult, you
often are out in the first over (at least i do). Maybe try to bat a little with the hack on, so you can see what happens.

i've been playing on tests, and the scoring there is really great. especially i have a lot of slips and there are gaps. batsmen struggle early, but if they stay in they start to score quicker. really feel they are punishing anything bad and taking advantage of gaps.

I have been doing that since the hack came..Simulate batting and only bowl...

ok gave batting a shot on high pressure V4 doesnt seem too difficult other than say watch the ball a bit more and when you play a bad shot chance of seeing a edge fly is high, but other than that is totally at home and feels good, unlike the very high pressure i tried in v2 were i couldnt put bat on ball! The edges travel well and varied like to second slip etcand feels a bit more realistic This is playing casual limited overs havnt tried career or test yet with batting!

I enforced a follow-on. something i've very rarely done because i usually can't be arsed bowling another innings.

seriously, @MattW / @BigAntStudios I don't know where you're at with DBC17 and how that's looking from a bowling perspective, but I hope you're chatting with franco. the bowling side of the game is transformed here, entirely for the better.

This hack makes bowling even long spells enjoyable. I've also found 4 ball overs transforming

Yeah it has made bowling a lot more fun, I'm having a corker of a match vs SAF. I will do a little write up and upload a video too!

Started doing 4 ball overs before this patch, just playing around with formats that were more fun to bowl in. I find 4 ball overs keep the game moving, keep things interesting etc so even without this patch bowling was much more fun.

I've played vastly more matches to completion, playing every ball without simulation batting & bowling, since moving to 4-ball overs than I ever did before. Im committed to a tour at the moment using 4-ball overs but I might go back to 6-ball overs after if this patch lives up to the promise!!

Have 1993 Australia 237/6 off 96 overs (4-ball). 14 of them were bowled with v0.2 on normal pressure, the rest v0.4 on normal pressure.

The conditions are great for batting - pristine pitch, sunny/clear. Book in for bed and breakfast.

I've had 5 edges - 1 dropped at gully (with v0.2), 3 caught behind, and 1 bump ball. The other 3 dismissals beside the keeper catches have been 2 LBWs, 1 bowled, also had a bowled off a no-ball. (1 caught behind, 1 lbw from a spinner, rest from seamers/medium pacer)

I am LOVING it. The AI are batting well. It's bloody good batting conditions and the first time i'm really thinking "ok, keep the scoring down, keep a slip or 2 in, wait for it, there'll be other times when the ball's doing more" rather than thinking "bloody hell another bowling slog".

Having taken no wickets with the new ball, i struggled and the opening partnership was >100. I got a breakthrough just before the 2nd new ball (in my set up after 55 overs). Then between overs 55 & 80, so when the ball was new, I took another 3 wickets. This is the third innings in a row I've noticed a marked increase in my "threat" when the ball was new. 3 of the 5 edges have come when one of the balls was <20 overs old.

Brilliant stuff. If you have the PC version you really should be playing with this hack.

Great stuff Dave. I have really started to have to think about fieldplacement now, weighing up risks and reward. Franco needs an oscar!
