DBC14 PC Version Mod Screenshots

That's the plan, however the issue, like all retro bats and kits, is finding reliable photos as a reference. I do have a photo of a poster with Hansie Cronje promoting County bats plus some others.

At this stage I have photos to make the following:
GM - Maestro, Diamond and Autograph, plus 80's Maxi, Maestro and Scoremaster
Slazenger - V100 Mark Waugh, V600, V800 and Bradman the Legend Limited Edition
County - 80's Clipper, Colt and Hero
Puma - Various
Kookaburra - Ridgeback and Bubble
Gabba - Craig McDermott

I'm looking to make enough bats to fill every spot and I'll name them in a way that each manufacturer appears together in the Academy for selection.

Others may not be that interested, however I'm doing this mainly because I'm playing series from the 1990's and looking for a more realistic experience. so I thought I would share all of them once they are done.

WIP preview for an upcoming project

Yeh complete re-creation. The Academy shots lower the quality a fair bit, look a lot better when playing a match.

I do the same thing as with the the bats I've re-created the base images are often of a lower quality.

I must say these bats of yours look really good even with the Academy's lower quality. Can't wait to see these in game. Many thanks!

Excellent. Interesting you're doing the GMs, I'm tackling the Purist next.

@quincy159 have you found the vintage bats forum on the custom bats website? I'm on my phone at the moment but can post the link when at my computer if you've not seen it. It's a great resource for the retro bats

Sorry, was asleep when you posted this. I regularly use this site as a source of images the only problem is that often any labels I capture need to be re-touched, which isn't much of an issue, it just takes longer to finish a bat with needing to 'clean' square up the image.

You are right though and to anyone looking to make mods of bats, even new ones, it's a valuable resource.

I've seen your 'Purist' and it looks really good. I'm looking at the generation previous to yours as used by Mike Gatting when facing the so called "Ball of the Century"!

I would like to get a recreation of the ball as a screenshot.

Hmmmm, I think the Cornhill stumps could be on the cards!

Have done the full set of equipment sponsors (those that can be edited):

I've created Slazenger, Adidas (Retro), Adidas (current), Gunn & Moore, Nike, & Hunts County.

Wow! Looks like another great mod. A very useful one too, thanks Blockerdave!

Another good resource is eBay. If you're creating the sticker from scratch (as I did with purist) the zoom on it's preview is excellent.

Love the pic there, all the old logos and sponsors! Reminds me I've not downloaded the old England logo yet - I'll have to get my old ACB one up too.

The thing I like about ebay is that if you are creating current or recent bats there are often excellent images of just the labels which is much easier to use particularly with the retouching process.

The strange thing about the photo above is that both Mike Gatting and Ian Healy were among the best at their craft when it came to spin bowling. When you look at the replay not only Mike Gatting missed it when he thought he had it covered, but I believe that Ian Healy may have missed it as well had it not hit the stumps.

By the way I look forward to using the ACB logo.
