And I reckon I don't need to say this you after you have got two stories with 200+ posts running.

Getting a story on track don't mean that getting more number of comments, getting a story on track is getting the story line under control, not by experimenting 11 players with only ONE Indian in so called "Indian Premier League".

I never bother about how much comments my story has got. My approch is always same, when this story was started to now I have the same approach of improving it.

Though you've improved your writing, you've created a blunder too! I stopped reading this story as I couldn't understand many things and got confused about what is happening. Though your other story is good enough!

Major Announcement!
lg-share-en.gif

Modi early today had a press conference and an important one too. He said that there has been lots of debate going on about too many foreign players in a team but the league is called Indian Premiere League . So he said that IPL committee was having meetings from last couple of days and the final decision was that there will be 5 foreign players in the final XI of the teams. In the previous years of IPL only 4 foreign players were allowed in the side so just one more is allowed this time. Modi said that now 22 matches have taken place so its bit late for this decision but at least this decision has come because some teams were misusing this new rule of having foreign players and were having 8 to 9 foreign players. Few foreign players have been send home because of this new rule and the good thing is that all the players agreed about the new rule and happily went to their countries. In place of foreign players teams have been given Indian players and now each team has 6 to 7 Indian players. So the new rule basically is that each team can only have 5 foreign players and 6 or more Indian players in the final playing XI. Now the final squad of the teams are as follows:-

Practice at M Chinnaswamy Stadium!!!

So, I picked up my kit bag and got ready to visit M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Our coach from down stairs shouted "common guys, we are getting late". All the boys quickly went down the stairs and into the bus. When the bus got started and everyone settled down, Whatmore said that there has been a major announcement today by Modi that now each team can only have 5 foreign players in the side. Whatmore said that it was told to him yesterday but this news was made public today. He said that the good thing is that no one from our team has been said to leave the team because our squad is fine. Few of the team members knew about this but few didn't. I was in the list of players who didn't knew about this new announcement. Our coach said that there have been so many ups and downs in this years IPL. Firstly Legends inclusion which was cancelled, Then my inclusion in the side and now this foreign players limitation. But he also said that now he hopes that everything will go fine and IPL will have no more changes. After 15 minutes journey we reached the stadium, went to the dressing room and kept our kit bags in the lockers.

Locker Room.png

After half an hour or so we decided to go to the nets and start practicing because just 1 hour was left for the match to start. There were just 4 nets and the players who were practicing were Sehwag, Pietersen, Morgan and Gayle. So I was not able to practice. :noway I was forced to sit and watch them bat till they finish their practice. :( In the mean time my coach came to me and said why you are so sad? I said I can't practice and today is an important match for me. He said do not worry; don?t think that by practicing in nets you can make runs. The main test starts in the ground; we practice in nets just to know the nature of the pitch. When he was saying that, Pietersen said Hey Aditya, I will bowl a bit now so you practice. My coach said see, Now Pietersen has finished his bating practice, Go and practice and make sure you play well on back foot. I said yes coach. :) I went to the nets defended few bowls by Pietersen and just when I thought to play big shots on one bowl of Pietersen, which was full length I got bowled. Pietersen came to me and said see Aditya, I knew that you will get out on a full length delivery because you play on front foot and your back foot is weak. Try to defend the full length delivery because your back foot is weak, once your back foot gets better you can start hitting full length deliveries. I asked him a question that how can I know that which bowl I should hit and which not for the spinners? Pietersen replied see first you need to understand one basic technique that first defend the first few bowls of spinners you play and understand the pitch so that you can know how much the bowl will turn. Once you understand the pitch you can decide which bowl to hit which don't. I said thanks; I will keep that in mind for today's game. After that there were just 5 minutes left for the toss so we went back to the dressing rooms to prepare ourselves for the match. Now the question is which team will win the toss? As far as I am concern about the pitch, The pitch is a batting paradise so whichever team will win the toss will elect to bat first. Lets see what happens....

Wow, I havent been following this regularly, but you have improved considerably. :clap
I also like the new rule where you have limitized the overseas players. It was getting too much. Nice to see KP finally allow you to bat, must have been boring sitting there :p
KUTGW!

^^ Yes I was supposed to point out but you did it :)

At least someone bothers to read the post. Cheers Treva,I have corrected it now. :)

So, Finaly our coach, Whatmore pasted the list of playing XI in the locker room on the board. Squad was as follows:-

Aditya
Virender Sehwag
Chris Gayle(c)
Kevin Pietersen
Eoin Morgan(wk)
Suresh Raina
Virat Kohli
Andrew Flintoff
Irfan Pathan
Nathan Hauritz
Ashish Nehra

After the team selection Gayle immediately went to the ground for the toss. Lets see what happened at the toss.

Toss
Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
Match 23

Ravi.png We are all set now for the crucial toss. I have with me the men who matter. Chris Gayle(Delhi Daredevils captain) and Graeme Smith(Royal Challengers Bangalore captain.)

Ravi.png Gayle has the coin...Smith to call....and Smith calls Heads...and it is Heads

Ravi.png So Graeme, You have won the toss. What will your team do batting or bowling?

Smith.png We would bat first Ravi, Pitch looks good for batting and any score of around 160 to 170 would be good on this pitch.

Ravi.png Now there has been a new rule implemented into this years IPL that each team can only have 5 foreign players so your team will be having few changes I guess?

Smith.png Yes, We have few changes. But they all are satisfying ones, lets see how the players perform.

Ravi.png OK Graeme, Good luck for the match!

Smith.png Thanks Ravi!

Ravi.png Now I would like to have few words with Chris Gayle, Delhi Daredevils captain.

Ravi.png So, Gayle you have lost the toss. Would you have batted first on this pitch as well?

Gayle.png Yes, We would have surely batted first on this surface. Looks to be a good one for batting to me and in my opinion it won?t change much till the end of the match.

Ravi.png Same question which I asked to Graeme because of new rule about just 5 foreign players in the side. You will be having changes as well. Are the changes still having the team balance correct.

Gayle.png Yes, We have few changes. But they all are good ones and I hope that all the players will perform well. We will be chasing so the pressure is on batsman but I believe my side is good enough to win the match.

Ravi.png Yes Gayle, Best of luck for the match hope your team continues the good run in this years IPL.

Gayle.png Cheers Ravi!

Ravi.png So the news from the center is that Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the toss and they will be batting first....

So, this was how the toss turned up for us. We lost the toss but still the players were looking confident for the match in the pavilion. We knew that we have good batsman in the side and we can surely win the match if we play well.

Coming up:-
Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

DD to chase. Not bad considering the strength of their batting order. The bowling is a bit worry, they arent big T20 bowlers, but I reckon DD have the edge and can chase any score.

Royal Challengere Bangalore clinch last ball thriller!!!

Graeme Smith.png
Graeme Smith played a good knock of 56 for his team

So, The Royal Challengers Bangalore opening batsman, Delhi Daredevils side and umpires came to field to start the match. The pitch wasn't as good as we thought it would be. The bowl was not really coming well onto the bat. Smith was using his experience and was rotating the strike but Warner was not really looking good. He was struggling and hence was not able to play a big innings and got out for just 8. Warner was looking frustrated because the pressure was building so in the last bowl of 4th over Warner played the bowl on leg side and called for the single. Smith said no but Warner till then was at the half of the pitch. Hauritz throw the bowl to the keeper, Morgan and Morgan made no mistake and Warner got run out. While Warner was making his way back to the pavilion he was looking very angry. But I and the whole DD side were happy with the first wicket because we knew that how dangerous Warner could be.

Next batsman was the experienced Rahul Dravid. Smith and Dravid were no taking risks in the starting over?s they were taking singles because they knew that now their team needs a good partnership. Dravid supported Smith very well, Dravid was taking singles and rotating the strike and that was helping Smith to play freely. But both of them were playing very slowly and obviously the run rate wasn't good. In the 16th over Gayle decided to give the bowl to Andrew Flintoff and he made his captain happy by taking two wickets in the over. Guess the bowler who was bowling with Flintoff? No one other than me. :D Next batsman was Collingwood who got out in the last over and I took his wicket. It was a big wicket for me but the thing most important at that time was that Royal Challengers Bangalore final score was 118. Whole Delhi Daredevils team was happy with the effort and we knew that if we play well we can surely chase the target.

Me and Gayle in the pavilion with the coach talked about the strategy quickly. Our coach,Whatmore said that see guys play your normal innings and just because the target is small we will still win if we play slowly and steadily. Me and Gayle went to the stadium because it was all set for our innings to start... Gayle and Me were playing according to the tactics. But Gayle lost his wicket in the 9th over. Smith introduced Murali into the bowing attack and he got wicket of Gayle. Murali bowled a full length delivery, Gayle was on front foot and missed the bowl. Dravid made no mistake and stumped Gayle and Gayle got out that was the big blow for us. Next batsman was one of my favorite players Kevin Pietersen. We both were rotating the strike and the innings went forward. I smashed few boundaries when the pressure was building but my main aim was to rotate the strike rather than loosing my wicket and building pressure on my side.

Just two over?s were left and surprisingly Smith was bowling the second last over he bowled the 4th last over also anyway. So, I took 3 off the very first bowl but on the second bowl I lost my wicket. I tried to smash the bowl straight down the park, but got bottom of my bat and the bowl went straight in the hand of Smith. I was so disappointed with my wicket but when I was going back to the pavilion everyone appreciated my innings. It went even worst for us because we lost another wicket in the over this time of Sehwag. Last over was bowled by Lee and he didn't gave away much runs. We needed 12 runs of the last over but we were not able to make 12 runs we were just able to make 9 runs off the last over. This is how the last over went:-

1st bowl :- Single by Eoin Morgan
2nd bowl :- Smashed for 4 by Kevin Pietersen
3rd bowl :- Single by Kevin Pietersem
4th bowl :- Dot bowl! Full length delivery and straight to the keeper hands
5th bowl :- Flicked away off the pads, great fielding there by the 3rd man, David Warner. Morgan comes back for 2.
6th bowl :- 4 needed of the last bowl! Full Length delivery by Brett Lee, Morgan just able to take a single. Delhi Daredevils lost by 2 run.
