Well we have been treated to a real masterful batting display here today as the Derbyshire openers, Richie Roberts and Blaine Molloy batted through the innings blasting a massive 275 runs from there 45 overs. The key to the innings was both players controlled aggression, knowing when to push the single, punish the bad ball and when to go for the big hit. All the Sussex bowlers took an absolute pasting as Roberts smashed a personal best 157 and Molloy a real supporting innings of 101. Molloy played some brilliant shots in his 101 not out but was overshadowed by the sheer aggression and willingness to blast the bowling to all parts of the ground by his partner Richie Roberts. The Derbyshire bowlers and fielders can certainly not relax here as the outfield is lightning fast and the pitch is resembling a road offering nothing at all for the bowlers.

Looks like i did a Michael Vaughan, went back to basics in the nets for a few sessions with Dave Houghton and im back in form after two dissapointing scores, ( 0 in the county championship and 6 in the last Totesport match), hope the bowlers can keep the momentum going and not throw away our good work
