Derbyshire lead by 181 runs

A real quality batting performance here this morning by the Derbyshire pair of Luke Freeman and Shane Martin. Both batsmen played with caution and maturity as they steered there side to a respectable total. Both player were unlucky still not to be at the crease with Freeman fall to a gem of a delivery that nipped back in and clipped his off stump, while Martin was give leg before wicket to a ball that clearly hit him outside the line of off stump. However both batsman dug in and showed real character to bring Derbyshire right into this match. Roberts will be hoping to push the scoring along and hope the tail can stay with him so that they can post a big score for Lancashire to chase.

Lancashire need 287 runs to win

The umpires have decieded to take an early tea break here as the Derbyshire innings comes to a close. A terrific fight back here from the young lads in particular Freeman and Martin who down the hardwork and layed the foundation for Roberts to come in a also score a steady 50. It should be a good run chase here in the final session of the day and also tomorrow. Lancashire will be hoping for a solid start with 70 odd on the board and Derbyshire will be looking to rip into the top order and claim some early wickets.
