IPl auction is ended but what about Pune Warriors players ?

Pune Warriors have withdrawn from tournament but their team has some good indian players. (Uthappa, Pandey, Sharma, Nehra and more....)

So teams which has not spended much money in this auction (KXI, DC) can still get some good player from Pune before tournament starts.

MI has again bought so many players and i wonder what they will do with these many player. Only 11 players can play a match and squad of maximum 22 players is good enough to win tournament but they have more than 22 players who are capable of making in to playing 11.

Mumbai now has factory of bowlers now. (Harbhajan, Munaf, Malinga, Nechim, Kulkarni, RP, Peterson, Murtaza and few more domestic bowlers).

Delhi has bought some very good players of T20 but still they don't have quality spinner in their side, which basically means that they can't win tournament as Final or Semi-final will be played in Chennai and you need spinner in team to win match at Chennai.

RCB buying Muralithran could help them in winning match at Chennai, as it favours spin bowlers and last year RCB lost both finals in Chennai.
So i expect these 4 teams to top the table.

Chennai
Mumbai
RCB
Delhi

Mahela Jayawardene is a perfect addition to Delhi's squad. A successful auction for the Daredevils. :D

I think Chennai went for a smart buy in Jadeja. They already have a very strong and almost balanced team (although I wish they could have found one additional fast bowler, they didnt have much options among the players sold, and Siddle was not going to be available for most of the season this year due to international commitments). They went for the most popular buy of the auction and closed it out.

With Jadeja coming in, I guess Jakati is going to find it almost impossible to play any games. He will be used as a backup most of the time, with him being used if we need to play 3 spinners in a game which should be rare. Ashwin and Jadeja will be highly potent weapons on home wickets, and Jadeja's fielding and batting should really be a strength for CSK to have. Well done CSK!! Also Jadeja shares a very good relationship with MS Dhoni (Dhoni is a strong backer of Jadeja), so it was only perfect he came in for us.:cheers

^^ agree CSK was missing a true Indian all rounder that made selections tricky. Both albie and jakati are on notice.

In short, RR is a mini Australia. Brad Hogg is a very good buy though.

Delhi has made a very smart move there. They needed that stability of Mahela in middle order with likes of KP, Warner and Sehwag already being in the team.

So big boys of England went unsold.

Thankfully, MI did not enter the bidding war on Jadeja. Else, they would have won it easily since on tie breaker, the team with the deepest pocket wins the player and the Ambani's cant be beaten on the wealth index.:D

I think Jadeja and Ashwin are a certainty for almost all the games. Right now, CSK has a surplus of allrounders. Bravo, Styris, Jadeja, Morkel, Faf Du Plessis.

I wish Deccan Chargers sell their Franchise and attain Nirvana. They have no idea how to even mess up correctly. Last year they did the same thing and they seem to get worse year by year. Sold Ojha, Harmeet (Lucky charm if you will) and KP who didn't play a single match, but sore of him to not pay back for DC for the time they endured and kept up when he was away with injury.

And they buy Parthiv, Harris.

One thing that made me smile is Darren Bravo :) ONLY ONE, so far.

This would be lineup of CSK.

Murali Vijay
Mike Hussey
Suresh Raina
Subramaniam Badrinath
W Saha/ Anirudha Sreekanth
MS Dhoni
Ravindra Jadeja
Albie Morkel
Dwayne Bravo
Ravichandran Ashwin
Doug Bollinger

But there might be a shuffle in the batting order according to situations, we've got hard hitters in the lower order like Albie, Bravo, Jadeja.
DD has a great batting lineup, MI has good bowling.

Semi finalists' prediction

CSK, MI, DD, RCB
