Don Bradman Cricket 14 General Discussion

Is there something that stops a team using a specialist keeper via a substitute fielder?

There is...

A substitute can act for the injured or ill player in the field, although he may not bowl, bat, or act as wicket-keeper or as captain, unless otherwise agreed by the captains.

The wicket-keeper can only be replaced by someone from the starting XI.

If people have 20 minutes to spare this is well worth a watch. Cinefilm feature on the 1948 Lord's test featuring Compton, Hobbs, Sutcliffe and of course Bradman.
John Arlott commentating.
Also some interesting stuff on bat making and hand stitching balls:

Player Skills

Hi friends. I just want clarification on one thing. When I edit players, I notice that for a left arm orthodox spinner, there is a skill called 'Leg Break'. Technically it should have been called as 'Off Break' (as far as my knowledge goes) as the left arm spinner is bowling his Off Breaks. But as the game calls them as Leg Break, I was wondering will the 'Inswingers' of a left arm fast bowler be the 'Outswingers' for a right handed batsmen?

A left arm orthodox spinner, bowling to a right hander, is bowling leg breaks.

Hey Ross, I just then though of something that could be cool for the future cricket games or dlc's you make. I was thinking before about how cool it would be if you didnt get a field mini-map but you rely on looking around yourself while your batting and/or you cant look at the mini map while trying to change the field as captain. So I was thinking about doing like a pro cam while being a captain and change the field by viewing the field yourself and waving your hands like your Michael Clarke. Anyway I've whipped up a quick possible control layout for it all on microsoft word hahaha. Tell me your thoughts. I rekon it would add onto the games interest factor!
