I don't think they're scared!!! Barmy made a good point about if ashes had released in June, people would have been crying out for all the features etc DB has, and bigant would've been able to say here you go, this is what you wanted and that would've been perfect for big ant. The comparison between the two games isn't an issue quality wise DB wins hands down, fegan isn't using his own money, Ross is. Fair enough with tru blu on board it eases the burden a bit but for big ant, it has to blow AC out of the water, if both release at the same time, especially in the UK its not gonna do that, quality wise it will but financially less so! Maybe for the UK market the game would've done better releasing earlier but as UK isn't their biggest market we can't expect bigant to do that. Other countries not so involved in the upcoming series are more inclined to buy DB14, I don't kno about Australia but I'd imagine it'll outsell AC there too. I as much as snyone( more so with winter coming and work slow) want to play this game ASAP, but I always like to see the little guy do well, so what's best for bigants success long term is more important to me, they obviously care more about their customers than trickster, as a matter if principle I wouldn't buy AC no matter what. We've had. The CA to play about with, countless vids screenshots and interactions with bigant, what have we had from AC??? Bugger all. I don't get why people are so agitated, maybe I'm older and had years of rumours the sex pistols would tour and didn't before finally seein them in 96 but you need to learn some patience and put things into perspective.
PS Ross did you guys make jet pack joyride?? My sons been goin on about it and its blow his mind to show him I talk to the games maker!!!
As for patience, I have been a long suffering cricket gaming fan. Surely I know a thing or two about patience.
I think to the average cricket fan seeing Cook and Clarke on the box would make them choose AC13.
Kids wouldn't really know who Bradman is and want to emulate current players, so parents will buy AC13 for them.
"Scared" in the context of being apprehensive and focusing too much on AC13. Taking a cricket analogy, sometimes you have to focus on your strengths instead of your opponent's weakness.

Absolutely. We've waited 14 years or something. What's a few more weeks?
Agree with this for the UK.
Obviously in Australia it'll be different, but to what extent I wonder?
@Aj you reckon the bradman name won't be powerful even in the UK? Not arguing, just interested.
I know we're self-selecting cricket nuts, but UK guys, you walk in to the shop to get a cricket game and see Ashes and Bradman on the shelves; knowing nothing else about either game you're still looking at Bradman, surely? Then it's down to features on the box...
Most of Bradmans feats - and all his top scores - were in Ashes tests. I think he ties into the series perfectly

I suppose a great case study would be the situation between Rugby World Cup 2011 and Rugby Challenge video games which both came out in 2011 around the time of the World Cup.
Ross may or may not know how those two games went head to head against each other. Both targeting a relatively small market with a mixture of licensed and unlicensed content. I still can't understand how you could have a WC game and not have the Wallabies or All Blacks when the competition was actually in NZ.
I can't imagine either of these games were as successful as they would have liked due to the other game taking market share away. I think there are some parallels you could take into the 'battle' between DB14 and AC13.
Also, as an interesting note: RWC2011 published by 505 Games, Rugby Challenge published by TruBlu. Hmmmm...
I know the situation intimately and it is not too dissimilar, and is tracking the same sort of path.
Consider also that there is a Rugby Challenge 2 - as far as I know there is no follow up RWC.
