I've always expected the PC version to come well after the console release... That's benefiting from common sense.
Just a quick mention that I'm not sure re. the "the platform holders require a two month delay on digital if you are releasing at retail" mentioned by the Dev team because I see games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, Tomb Raider etc. released almost simultaneously.
Perhaps it is specific to a platform holder rather than a general one.
The release date was planned for October before Ashes shit the bed. I've been wrong numerous times regarding the release date... as has everyone else in the forum. No idea what your point is.
I hope the game makes enough money to turn this into a successful series of quality games, however I'm going to base my decision on whether it will provide me decent entertainment at reasonable value. This stuff is something I can't figure out. On one hand we keep on moaning about the fact we never get a good cricket video game. And finally when a decent game comes along, at least based on what we've seen so far, we suddenly don't even want to shell out a few bucks to buy that game?
If we are not going to back the publisher who's trying to develop a cricket game against all odds, why complain about the lack of cricket games? Even if the game has a few things that need to be worked on, I would expect the PCers to back the title in the hope that Big Ant will be able to make DBC a long running franchise. But that is unlikely to happen when we don't put our money where our mouth is.
Point of fact; The whole PlanetCricket pissing contest on who predicts what when and were they right, died a slow painful death in early September...

Considering that you can pretty much always get a game on Steam for ?15 or so that is a top quality game with plenty of longevity, with the signs pointing towards this being ?30+, it's going to have to be something special to warrant a purchase at that price for me. Hopefully it would end up in a sale at some point, but that may be unlikely given Ross has said Big Ant games don't really go down in price.
I'm not going to buy the game out of charity to fund the future development of the series for the sake of it, it needs to be a quality game, and the recent comments by Ross that mention them having developed a PC version of a previous title and not released it make me more cautious to support these devs, considering this could be a potential future for the franchise.

I don't expect charity and would never ask for it. In my opinion this is the best Cricket game made so far and I expect it to sell on that basis.
That's a self-fulfilling prophecy right there. If the PC version sells poorly there wont be another one.
I thought you would say that ross, PC versions are in deep trouble. I will buy the pc version and I bet it's better than the console versions anyway.
