Can you give a rough breakdown of how many of your sales are pre-orders, first week, first month, etc? I'd be interested how significant the pre-release promotion time is on sales.and when it doesn't work we will probably change things...

A release date shouldn't be as big of a deal as it has been made to be.
No.Would I have to order from Australia?

Exactly. It's actually not a big deal at all, except to you and a bunch of other people making it out to be a bigger deal. It doesn't matter to anyone except marketing and promotional folks when the game is out... because when it's out, we'll go get it. Easy.
Are there legitimate pre order sites already?? Would I have to order from Australia? (I'm in UK)

It's just how they do things.

Games usually have a date finalised at least 4-6 months before release. Not 2-3 weeks.
