Yep. Try some Photo Filters out, I like using them - and then you can just erase little parts that you don't like, in order to make them work well. Also, at the end, try a Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen on an applied image and then just erase parts that are too strong. A sharpen is often needed to make the sig look better as a final touch.

Can you try do a sig with the whole image, not cut out Corica? And can the text be something like: "Steve Corica" then below it in different font/size/colour etc "Sydney legend"

I like the left and center. The right is too busy though imo, and the text needs changing. Something simple like white arial for "Steve Corica" then something solid and in capitals underneath saying "Sydney Legend" may look better.
