Yeah,Gimp.
It is the best one after photoshop.
Has almost everything.
For the Cameron Sig-Text ccan be better.
I like the background but try to blend in the render.

lol. I'm Uber at Paint.Net. Most of the stuff I make comes out from it. I'm personally against GIMP because I find it too hard/difficult/annoying even for some advanced users - but then again I never used GIMP for more than a minute when I first got it because I found it to be quite frustrating.

Anyway. When I first started out I was pretty crap. For example:

But after a couple of weeks of experimenting (This was a major in me utilising PDN to its fullest) and reading up on some tutorials really took me a long way. But I still primarily use the Adobe packages for the bigger projects. So as far as I'm concerned, your on the right track. Everybody's work is extremely nooby at the start. Well ... except for KBC of course ...

Tutorials - Paint.Net - Most of them suck so thats why I said experimentation is such a key aspect with anything to do with graphics.

I also got heaps of plug-ins that I use. They've helped as well. List the plug-ins you have and I'll tell you what else to get.
