There is always a good potential in your work, but you always fail to execute it in a right manner. Stop being lazy and cut the render and then use textures. If you're lazy to cut then manip is the best thing.
No, I like adityas version. A manip always needs to have a bright render. Your version is a little dull, Gazza, and I totally see where user2010 is coming from with his comment about lacking execution. By that he means the final touch to give the sig some quality. Usually lighting, colouring and a few light textures around the render, trying to make that the focal point, will fix that.
It is a manip then. Ok, I don't know about others but what I do in a manip is try to use very less textures maybe no textures at all. It gives the work a real feel and a polished effect. If at all I need to use textures, I'll always reduce their opacity to low level where it just needs to be. Lighting effects and some gradient map would do it a world of good.
Yes,Completely agree with User2010. In manip you should always avoid using textures and try to use lightning effects there are couple of manip signature tutorials available on Deviantart and Sportgfx.com they will surely help you Gazza.
Dude, please follow some tutorials. At the moment, your work lacks structure and consistency (consistency within one piece, that is). It's just a little random and all over the place at the moment. You have potential, but everyone needs to look to someone better when they are first starting off.
