Draft: EARN ME BACK MY MONEY PLEASE (The First Class RNG Draft)

I wanted to join oof

Seems like some people have forgotten/didn't know how to RNG draft:
Please send your selections in the same DM chain I sent you

Alright I guess it's time to get this out.

Ahmed's game... Natal vs Rhodesia, 1958/59
Ahmed's selection... :saf: :ar: Trevor Goddard
1730599012390.png
Adding an all-rounder who can play anywhere from 1-7, bats at 40 and bowls at 20 is an insanely good start to a draft. That said, this draft should produce my best ever teams
Others available: :saf: :bat: Jackie McGlew, :saf: :bat: Colin Bland

Aislabie's game... Glamorgan vs Northamptonshire, 1999
Aislabie's selection... :eng: :ar: Graeme Swann
1730599191318.png
A fixture in the English team for nearly a decade, Swann wasn't world-beating, but he was world-class.
Others available: :eng: :bat: Steve James, :eng: :bat: Matthew Maynard, :eng: :bwl: Devon Malcolm

Aravind's game... Yorkshire vs Scotland, 1956
Aravind's player... :eng: :bat: Billy Sutcliffe
1730599407022.png
Aravind thought this was his dad...
Others available: :eng: :ar: Johnny Wardle, :eng: :bwl: Fred Trueman

CerealKiller's game: Free State vs Border, 2012/13
CerealKiller's player... :saf: :bwl: Duanne Olivier
1730599485593.png
Not the richest of pickings in this game but CK gets himself started with a solid bowler.
Others available: :saf: :wkb: Rudi Second (who made 179 in this game; would have been a lock in the performances draft)

My game: Middlesex vs Surrey, 1924
My player... :eng: :bat: Jack Hobbs
1730599637918.png
My game was mainly washed out but Jack Hobbs, much as his usual self, still found time to score 70.
Others Available: :eng: :ar: Douglas Jardine, :eng: :bat: Patsy Hendren, :eng: :ar: Gubby Allen

Icyman's game: Lancashire vs Middlesex, 1898
Icyman's player... :eng: :bat: Archie MacLaren
1730599779298.png
Let's just say he scored 424 in an innings. Nothing more really needed there.
Others available: :aus::eng: :ar: Albert Trott, :eng: :bat: Johnny Tyldesley, :eng: :bwl: Johnny Briggs

Mohsin's game: Hawke's Bay vs Otago, 1892/93
Mohsin's player... :nzf: :bwl: Joseph Lawton
(no image)
Joseph Lawton absolutely cleaned up horrible lineups like Hawke's Bay. That said, he's clearly 18th of the 18 players selected this round, because he only ever played Hawke's Bay and the like.
Others available: I'd say no hope, but Hope is the #11 for Otago.

Na Maloom Afraad's game: East Zone vs South Zone, 1993/94
NMA's player... :ind: :bat: Rahul Dravid
1730600050259.png
From a shit game to effectively an All-Star one. NMA didn't have a wrong option here and he takes Rahul Dravid.
Others available: :ind: :bat: Sourav Ganguly, :ind: :bat: Mohammad Azharuddin, :ind: :bwl: Anil Kumble, :ind: :bwl: Javagal Srinath

Neptune's game: Warwickshire vs Surrey, 1955
Neptune's player... :eng: :bat: Ken Barrington
1730600212314.png
Barrington averaged 58 in Tests, all while generally not playing with his natural aggressive style. Perhaps England's GOAT batsman?
Others available: :eng: :bwl: Jim Laker, :eng: :bwl: Alec Bedser, plenty of very talented players not on those three's level

Paranoid Kendroid's game: Pakistan International Airlines vs Karachi Blues, 1969/70
Paranoid Kendroid's player... :pak: :bat: Zaheer Abbas
1730600451703.png
Very fashionable glasses. Even more fashionable batting.
Others available: :pak: :bat: Hanif Mohammad, :pak: :wkb: Wasim Bari

Perfect Square's game: Central Punjab vs Southern Punjab, 2023
Perfect Square's player: :pak: :bat: Azhar Ali
1730600595896.png
A very competent player, Azhar falls into the category I mentioned with Swann earlier - he's not a Hall of Famer of the game, but he was a really good player for his international career.
Others available: :pak: :ar: Salman Agha Ali, :pak: :bat: Abdullah Shafique

Pillowprocter's game: Windward Islands vs Barbados, 1987
Pillowprocter's player... :wi: :ar: Malcolm Marshall
1730600711467.png
A truly legendary - and terrifying - bowler. Can bat too.
Others available: :wi: :bwl: Joel Garner, :wi: :bwl: Winston Davis (fun fact - Marshall and Davis were opposing, fast-bowling, captains)

Sherlock Holmes's game: Worcestershire vs Northamptonshire, 1971
Sherlock's player: :pak: :ar: Mushtaq Mohammad
1730600850531.png
A cricket addict, Mushtaq played in over 500 first class games and scored 30000+ runs. And he was a very, very handy legspinner.
Others available: :wi: :bwl: Vanburn Holder, :eng: :bat: Basil d'Oliveira

Supreme General's game: Sheikhpura vs Sargodha, 2000/01
Supreme's player: :pak: :bat: Misbah-ul-Haq
1730601050020.png
Speaking of cricket addicts, how did this man play Tests for 16 years AFTER DEBUTING AT 27???
Others available: :pak: :ar: Mohammad Hafeez, :pak: :bwl: Aaqib Javed

Till Valhalla's game: Essex vs Glamorgan, 1930
TV's player: :eng: :bat: Maurice Turnbull
1730601202171.png
Well, if our sides played Rugby, we'd know who won.
Others available: um

Viper's game: India A vs England Lions, 2023/24
Viper's player: :eng: :bwl: Matthew Potts
1730601317375.png
A somewhat surprising choice but there were plenty of very similar level options here - it's an A game after all
Others available: :ind: :bat: Sai Sudharsan, :ind: :bat: Devdutt Padikkal, :eng:'s entire bowling attack

Welwyn's game: West Indies vs England, Fifth Test, 1989/90
Welwyn's player: :wi: :bwl: Courtney Ambrose
1730601469200.png
Yes, Tests are options too - and if you get one you've got a stacked pool all but guaranteed. Curtly Ambrose had a lot of competition here.
Others available:
1730601532099.png

Yash's game: Lancashire vs Services, 1958
Yash's player: :eng: :bwl: Tommy Greenhough
1730601684354.png
A fine leg-spinner, Greenhough was denied Test success by Jim Laker and then England's trend towards offspinners in the County Championship.
Other options: :eng: :bat: Peter Parfitt, :eng: :bat: Geoff Pullar

If you do NOT have your R2 pool on the same platform I sent R1, please DM me there
