England in Australia

Now to put a positive spin on the last 2 days...

We'll get away with a draw at least, this pitiful English bowling attack won't be able to bowl us out once in 3 days on this pitch, let alone twice.

Have to say I fear you might be right...

Could they have batted any slower? Geez it's no wonder it took the Poms so long to win the Ashes, they're happy to accept a draw.

Slow pitch, negative bowling, defensive fields. Australia also bowled quite well in terms of not serving up too many loose deliveries. They may not have bowled wicket taking balls but they kept it tight.

What a day, what a day. That will shut some of those idotic aussies up, especially those journalists who called us 'boring' completely overlooking the fact they took boring to new levels when they batted in the second innings at the Gabba.

Record 4th wicket stand between Pietersen and Collingwood, and what a gem of a player Colly is turning out to be. Always the man left out when everyone is fit, and would have been for this series had Tresco not gone home. Excellent captaincy from Flintoff too, declaring at just the right time and when we had got the right amount of runs, him and Giles paced their little knocks superbly.

And comenth the hour comenth the man Flintoff had enough energy to get the scalp of Langer.

Tommorow will be interesting, how will Australia bat? Will they collapse under pressure like England did at the Gabba? Or will they get up and at least avoid the follow on at 352 and get up close to England's total?

How does Brett Lee still get in this team? He hasn't played well against England for at least four years.

Your joking aren't you? He was imense in the last Ashes series, with both bat and ball.

The thing about Flintoffs captaincy is he will not look into things too much and rather use logic.

Declaring at 550 is logical and so he did, it makes sense.

Oh lol. Yeah, it's boring when the bowlers can't stop the batsmen scoring at a run a ball.

i think they should play Lee as a specialist batsman against the english as he scores more runs than his bowling average.

I can only hope that comment was tongue in cheek.

You don't see us plaing Giles as a batsman. Oh wait...

All who are calling for Brett Lees head should be English not thew Aussies. He is so quick and the English don't like it. If you've got the pace that Lee has got hes going to cause a threat to anyone.

Which explains why he's only taken 3 wickets so far this series...

it explains why he went at 4 runs per over, when england were going along at under 3

but i personally feel that they should bring in mitchell johnson. they could bring in shane watson which would increase their batting strength
