England in Australia

Hahaha 4 short. Bad luck.

This is a good fight. I hope there are storms so Ponting skrewed the test win up with his greed for more runs.

Lee is pretty expensive.

Lee just hasn't looked threatening, when hes going around the wicket you know hes not going too well.

Ouch Gilly misses a tough stumping, that would have been the wicket we needed.

Wouldn't be too far off his career average against England either, this is the one team he hasn't got on top off. He just doesn't look in form right now, wasn't in form in the Champions trophy either.

Yeah I really hope this turns out to be a draw, just so Ponting looks like an ass.

Barmy Army's complaining again, saying our fans were singing an "offensive" song. Pack of girlish hypocrites the lot of them.

We should wrap this match up tomorrow, you'd think the ball would have to offer more turn. Since when does a pitch start off as a road, crack into a bowlers paradise then flatten out into a road again?

When'd Pakistan last beat us down here? 1974? Could be worse, he could really look like an ass and refuse to lead us out to play after Tea.

Fairly good day for England in the end, disapointed though because we could and should only really be 3 down. Super innings from Collingwood, he never let the bowlers get on top of him. But looking back now he'll regret that attempted shot of Warne in the 90's. It was worth a 100 though the way we had gone all match. Also good innings from KP shows he isn't all just aggresion and big shots he showed a lot of restraint today to stop him getting himself out. Disapointed with the way freddie got out btu at least were not 150ao losing by 500 runs.

Stupid batting by Collingwood to throw his innings away, he nearly got caught on the fence trying to hit Warne for six with 2 men back for the shot a little bit earlier and then he charges Warne and gets stumped, what a waste.

scmods, that was uncalled for dude.

And you can't blame the Barmy Army, You heard about the english fan who was booted out for playing a trumpet right? The English fans seem to be being treated like dirt.

The really annoying thing being that the Barmy Army are the best group of fans England has for any sport. They're really peaceful, fun loving and nice fans. Now if they were like football fans then they'd have something to complain about.

So what are the actually chances of a storm tomorrow? All I've read about it is a tiny bit on here and cricinfo.

The next time a substitute fielder runs him out, he might just do that.

Seriously though, keep the attacks to yourself. Not that they bother me, but I'm sure the posters of this thread don't wanna hear it.

Seems that the Aussie fans are also complaining over the security treatment. To me CA and the security officials at the GABBA have gone too far and watching a video on the news of the police attacking spectators was ugly.

Agreed it was rather stupid as his wicket could of been crucial to the outcome of the match and he really did deserve the century. If Pietersen and Collingwood stayed till stumps than I'd say England had quite a decent chance to draw the match but nethertheless it was a very enjoyable knock to watch and handled Warne quite comfortably until the stumping of course.

Pietersen also has shown his potency and skill against Aus. The Warne v Pietersen battle was fantastic today, Pietersen playing Warne masterfully with Warne sending down some absolute gems to Pietersen. Also who could forget the mouthful Pietersen gave to Warne after Warne "attempted" to throw the ball back to Gilchrist but was too close to Pietersen so he deflected it with his bat. :D

If the storms do arrive it will most likely be for only a short period, probably 2 hrs of delay max. If England do somehow draw this match (cricket of course is a funny game), I'd say will celebrate it more than how Australia celebrated after the draw at Old Trafford and dare say it adds to the list of errors made by Ponting's captaincy career.

Slim to no chance of rain until late in the evening. It is you, England, who claim the barmy army are the best supporters in the world. I'm not sure if anyone's ever agreed with you to allow you to keep making that call. All i've heard are the same 2 boring tunes over and over and over......"barmy army...barmy army....barmy army." Who wants to pay for a ticket to have that blaring in their ears all day?

i'm sure they chant other tunes but you just don't hear it on the tv or radio. Plus I don't think the fanatics or the rest of the GABBA crowd minding the barmy army singing the tunes repeatedly.

Lets not get picky here, the Barmy Army aren't being treated by dirt alone, every fan in the ground is being treated like rubbish, it's a disgrace.

But they're complaining because our fans are singing offensive songs. That's weak and hypocritical coming from them. They didn't seem to mind giving us crap last year when they were winning, but suddenly the tables have turned and they can't hack it...
