England in India - Oct to Jan 2012/13

Sanjay trying to imagine how neat and tidy Alastair Cook's room is. I think I might just prefer Arun Lal's wildlife documentaries.

LOL! No DRS!

Haha! Again! This is too good.

Harsh decision for Samit Patel. Ball would have missed the leg stump. And had an inside edge.

I love how confounded KP is by the straight ball.

Superb decision to fast-track him back into the England side, Ojha really appreciated it! :D

Decent fight of it late yesterday, but only Cook of the batsmen can walk away from this one with any pride.

Cook - 2 inns, 163 runs (41 & 122no) @ 163.00
Prior - 2 inns, 53 runs @ 53.00
Broad/Bresnan/Swann/Anderson - 4 inns, 49 runs @ 16.33
Compton/Trott/Pietersen/Bell/Patel - 10 inns, 114 runs @ 11.40

Cook scored more runs 2nd innings than the rest of the batting combined in the match, 1/3 of those runs came from Compton 2nd inns. But don't be surprised if the only batsman axed turns out to be Patel, or maybe Compton as the newbie. You can bet the regulars won't be axed, expect KP to be Ojha's bunny for the series.

Man, I seriously can't remember the last ball that actually gripped and turned, the pitch from the 1st innings and the 2nd innings looks drastically different, maybe it's the English batsmen, maybe it's the Indian bowlers, I really don't know.

Although in fairness he wasn't out in either innings.

About time DRS was made mandatory, I guess the indians fear their home advantage will be exposed if decisions are right, even though they may end up with more with DRS.

Good fight put up by Cook and Prior, shame (on) the rest of the batsmen who put up so little fight it was embarrasing. I hope Cook shuffles the lower order and promotes Swann, can't imagine he will, but the side definitely needs a good shake when it plays spin.

Well at least England have done something India couldn't when they came to us ... we've made it past 300! :D Anyway, Prior will be hungry for his hundred tomorrow and Cook, well he just doesn't like getting out. All England have to do is bat for a session and a half or two sessions and then get Swann on. A draw could be on.
