England in India - Oct to Jan 2012/13

Gambhir is neither hitting out, nor is he rotating strike.... He is playing as if he is batting on Day 1.:facepalm

Irresponsible cricket from Gambhir! Ganguly says the same thing in the comm box. With just 1 wicket to go and a lead of just 53, he has to go for the full monty now! And yet he is defending and not scoring anything.... RUBBISH!

Instead of shaking your head at the decision, you should be shaken the opposition's confidence level and should have driven your team to atleast 20-30 runs higher. Today's effort from Gambhir certainly warrants for him for be dropped from the team.......:mad:facepalm

That's it blame the umpires.. :D

Just accept you we're totally out played like we were in the first test

Saying the umpire made a bad decision doesn't mean that India deserved to win. It just means that the umpire made a bad decision.

Putting blame on the umpires, happens all the time, as an Englishman I've had years of watching England football team and listening to all the excuses, blaming refs continually,

Better to do that than accept you got beat by the better team and your not as good as you think hey

Can't beat England on seaming pitches, can't beat them on spinning ones either.

Harbhajan dropped for the next test, maybe Yadav back. Or Ishant/Dinda.

Ashwin and Kohli need to step up and start delivering. These conditions suit them, and they have a great chance to cement their spots in the team for years to come.

Don't expect Sehwag to change...in 2 tests he'll probably play one more scorching innings and 3 quick dismissals. Hopefully Gambhir's found some form and won't be a walking wicket. Not expecting much out of Dhoni or Sachin with the bat, really just leaves a lot of the burden on Pujara and Yuvraj...and we all know how great Yuvraj's Test record is.

Ojha should continue doing well, and Zak will probably be alright.

Need a big step up from this game if they are to win the series. With Cook, KP and Prior in such good form, and Monty and Swann looking dangerous, winning the series is a lot harder than it seemed a few days ago. England have the benefit of a quality quick in Anderson, and a steady opening pair with Compton providing stability at the top.

Indians should not blame the umpires, they make mistakes but someone objected to using DRS so toughtitties. You live by the sword, you die by the sword

Great result for England, picked two spinners and won. Either Trott needs to drop down the order or drop out altogether, maybe Broad could be rested and England rush in a third spinner perhaps.............

No Offense :) Hai rabba hai rabba... Engrejo ne to baja dali team India ki band/basuri/pungi. :D only Indians will get it

A wicket with a bit of life in it and the Indians are falling head over heels.

Delighted to see Panesar do very well. :D

Even though Indian batting crumbled I think the bowling is the one to blame. We should have never let them make 400+ in the first place. The pitch was difficult and our spinners failed to capitalise.
Pakistan didnt always bat well in the UAE.They just bowled great.

Again I will say this that I am not blaming umpires for our loss. I know that we got outplayed by England. I just didn't like how many blunders I saw from umpires in the match.

The most sweetest thing about this crushing defeat is that it may make the Indian players finally wake up. No more "they cant play on turners like we cant play on green pitches" excuse (Gambhir) or "wait until you come to India" (Kohli).

And the irony of the Indians complaining about umpire howlers. If only there was a system where we could over turn it. :rolleyes
