England in India - Oct to Jan 2012/13

I think england have just bowled too well, but india still need to make changes. Their team doesn't look blended at all, you have the new guys, the old timers and the one dayers, all looking a bit odd next to each other.

Ashwin must stop pretending to be a bowler. He is a pure batsman who can bowl a few overs. That way even if his bowling fails we can say it was just a bonus anyway.
Gem of an innings. He is just such a natural timer of the ball.Does a 30 run target makes England nervous?

Anything in 3 figures will make them nervous...
Really good innings by Ashwin. Costly missed stumping by Prior.

Fair play to Ashwin, now the injuns have made us bat again I hope he gets his ton first. Maybe he deserves to play as a batsman who bowls on the performance(s) of the top order thus far............

You do realise that 'injun' is an offensive term for American Indians? :rolleyes

Might be better off going back to posting numbers all over the place after the last few comments I've read.

Talk about throwing all your toys out the pram! Good sides need consistency in selection, you need to get behind your team. There is no shame losing to this england side which is probably the second best in the world. A team that dominated the first test cannot be as bad as a lot of you are saying, its just a kneejerk reaction.

Accept that you've just been outplayed for two matches, form is temporary.

The problem is that these losses are just an extension to the 8-0.Consistency is selection is one thing, being just plain stubborn is another. After the overseas drubbing, the fans found solace in the fact that probably the team still maintained dignity at least at home.Excluding the WI/NZ test I guess India has lost 9 out of their last 10(and on the way to loose another).
If an Indian team couldn't even perform at home, immediate change is necessary.

Members are talking about wholesale changes but are there viable replacements?

Tendulkar fails with the bat once more, drop him and surely you guys may draw the 4th test!

Oh, the irony..

India opener Virender Sehwag on Saturday lashed out at the batsmen for showing lack of patience and held them responsible for putting the hosts on the verge of a heavy defeat in the third Test against England.

"If you apply yourself on this wicket, it's not that difficult to score runs. It's Test cricket and you have to show some patience. Yes you can say that (we did not show enough patience). The key was the patience," Sehwag told reporters after the fourth day's play.

Yes, there are. Manoj Tiwary and Ajinkya Rahane are more than capable to be in the test team. I don't understand why Manoj is being wasted in ODIs. He is not a OD player anyway. He has scored tons of runs in FC format and tests is where he should be tried in. Rahane can also be a good inclusion to the team. He has a massive FC average but best part about him is that he can bat both as an opener or in the middle order as well.

Those who are thinking about the lone Indian who has hit 3 triple centuries in FC, let me tell you that he is quite inconsistent and can be a crap of a batsman more often than not.

Tiwary and Rahane are fair players but they will take about twenty tests to be good players, in that time their confidence will dissipate. Its ironical how fans like yourslef chased out Laxman and to an extent Dravid to broad players like Pujara, this Pujara guys seems a failure he played well in the first test but thats it! What about the bowling, what replacements you have, none I guess!

Just accept it, India weakness is finally coming to forth! All this crap about the revenge series and India winning 4-0 has shown to be a fallacy. All the arguments that Ashwin is a mystery spinner like Ajmal/Narine has been shown how stupid thinking guys like yourself do!

The one time India needed Sachin to bat the inns of his life he fails them but you guys say he is the best? He is crap always has been and will always be an utter waste!

Really which Indian has hit 3 triple centuries in FC?
