England in India - Oct to Jan 2012/13

Hard to see England losing from here but you never know with them. Even if they manage to lose 7 wickets in the morning session India will still have to chase 220+ on a pitch where no-one has scored more than 70 in a session. Bat past lunch and it's series over.

he bowled rubbish in the first innings, all the other indian bowlers deserved 4 wickets more than him.
This. I don't get why the commentators were all praising him for bowling really well and that he's made a tremendous comeback and that stuff. He got wicket yes but, he bowled ordinarily.

Coming to the game, unless the pitch changes drastically I don't think there's any chance for us. But, that said even if the pitch does change and we do bowl out England cheaply, the batters might eff up things. So, it's almost over but, I am happy the way Kohli and Dhoni batted yesterday. We showed some resistance which wasn't to be seen ever since we won the first test and underestimated England.

It all comes down to Virender Sehwag really. England will have to bat until tea to be absolutely sure imho

This game is heading for a draw. So the series is going to England.

From a fitness point of view, a lot of the Indians look horribly out of shape.

Yeah, I've only just seen the Compton one.
Funny that India are angry at Trott when he actually wasn't out this time.

funny that circinfo painted it as a positive that the indians were showing some fight.

rather than calling the spoilt brat type temper tantrum that it was.

India have competed hard and shown some fight, but it's all too little too late. A draw here and a 2-1 victory to England would be a fair result I guess, and should hopefully usher in some positive changes.

However, for the excitement of the game's sake, I hope England collapse in the morning. Unlikely though...India can never wrap up a tail quickly. Prior will probably come in and kill the game.

I'm just watching the highlights right now, and what a horrendous decision for Cook! Not only didn't it hit the bat, I'm pretty sure it even missed the bloody pad! We've had some right stinkers in this game.

Yep you'd think so. Although I see that this current Bell/Trott partnership has the highest run rate of any of the 50+ partnerships in the match so far - a whopping 2.89 RPO!! If you extrapolate that to 90 overs, you get 260 runs in a day. So yeah, batting til lunch should keep England safe.

Yeah, not the greatest in terms of getting a result, but knowing that it could all go wrong in a heartbeat makes it slightly worrying. I'd love to see Trott dribble his way to a big century just before tea tomorrow though. Would be priceless to see how wound up the Indians would be at him by then.
