England In India - October 2011/12

Point is Sai, if an Indian mate, or anyone calls you a 'ghada' how seriously are you going to take it?

Cricket please.

The point is, you can tell your friend that you are "ghada" and he won't mind it but when you call a stranger walking on the street a "ghada", that's when the offensive part starts.

Anyways we can continue on cricket now.

Wow, Indians are probably the most sensitive bunch I've seen.

This Rahane guy is really impressing me though.

Wow, Indians are probably the most sensitive bunch I've seen.

I might extend that to Pakistanis as well. They must walk in a lot of one way streets because it is all about them, us respecting them, us not dissing them, them being deserving of.................. blah blah blah ;)

I think they should drop the dead donkey (three gusses as to which character they'd be)

re Pietersen being rested, not sure why he and he alone should be rested.

Not sure. Are the games played late in the evening? Cos once Pietersen has set for the day, he will not rise again you know. :yes

Nasser Hussain during the t20 encounter at Old Trafford clearly mentioned KP being 'rested' was a polite way of saying he was being 'dropped'. Rumors also have it that he will be sitting out for the return 5 ODI leg against India in the SC, which means he'll be making his England return no sooner than January 2012. Really harsh on KP, given that he's just got back to his golden days with the bat.

England news: No one is guaranteed a place - Alastair Cook | England Cricket News | ESPN Cricinfo

Kevin Pietersen is being rested for this series and reports emerged on Friday that he will not play for England until January - which would rule him out of the tour to India in October. Pietersen made just two ODI half-centuries in the previous two years but the England management insisted he had been rested, and not dropped, from the current series.

Ooh, Dravid wicket will provoke reaction. Don't really know what the Sky lot are blabbering on about, there was a clear noise and it could have been nothing else and Snicko proved the 3rd umpire made a brave and correct decision.

Broad has been good this morning as was Rahane. Bresnan was a bit meh, really not convinced by him in ODI's.

280 would be a decent score here.

Stump microphone is a part of technology right? In that case, there is no doubt the right decision has been made. However, the Hot Spot has indeed gone cold with that dismissal.

Today shows why England should have named another spinner in the squad. Swann goes down ill and suddenly we have a very average one in Patel leading that department. I would have kept Borthwick in the squad as cover and incase Patel drops in form, as there would have been an option to bat Bresnan at 7 and play both Borthwick and Swann. Surprising really when they're happy to drag Finn around all year doing nothing purely as cover.

I agree, I liked what I saw of Borthwick, even if he went for 13. Suppose Samit does give us quite a bit more batting. He's bowled okay, but hardly a threat.
