Who will win the ODI Series

I thought I'd bring up something I heard mentioned on the radio this morning. The commentators were saying that they're using Kookaburra rather than Duke balls in this series which have a smaller seam and don't reverse swing. Apparantly Waqar Younis has been very vocal in his opposition to Kookaburra being used.
What does everyone else think?

edit: Udal's got Butt! :) missing again?

Ok I take back what I said about Udal :) Still they may as well bowl Vaughan instead of Giles.

Kookaburra definitely don't reverse swing as much. You will notice reverse swing doesn't occur often in Aus whereas in England it was occuring in the 15th over as they were using the Duke balls.

first i hear they disallowed a run then butt gets out whats going on

It was a second warning for the Pakistan batsmen running on the pitch, so the run is cancelled.

For every warning they get from now on, England get 5 runs added to their first innings score. Inzi is really annoyed about it, and was talking to both umpires as soon as he came to the middle.

It's rule 42/4 subsection b or something crazy.
Basicly it was the Pakistan teams second warning for running on the protected area whilst batting and any runs scored off the delivery are null and void. Should anyone in the team be caught doing it again then England will be awarded 5 penalty runs.
I thought they might have got the hint by now: damaging the pitch isn't cool!

Whats up with Pakistan trying to damage the pitch. First the dancing Afridi now the plain trampling on the pitch. Kaneria doesn't need extra assitance.

well i will have to see it to see whats going on but i doubt they would do that. they can give the match away like this

This is turning to out to be really stupid umpiring. Butt ran after taken two-three steps in the middle the pitch sidewards. And I just saw the first warning: that was only about one step in the middle. For me it was a normal run.

No wonder that Sri Lanka, especially Muralitharan, hates Hair.

this seems a bit by harsh by reading in but i would have to look out. i said pakistan should have 150 lead by tea

Inzamam survives a close LBW call on that Flintoff delivery. I would've given Inzi out on that one, but the decision wasn't as obvious as the commentators made it out to be. The ball hit the pads on the line of off-stump but it almost looked as if it hit just outside the off-stump, in which case it would've been not out. It was a tough call to make and Taufel gave the batsman benefit of the doubt.

As for Butt's running on the pitch, the first warning was way too harsh, Butt had done nothing wrong, but the second warning was a fair one.

5 runs isn't enough....you could rake your studs down the pitch 3-4 times..make a big hole and only be penalised 20 runs? Yet te pitch would be MASSIVELY damaged.

If they persist running on the pitch. start with 5 runs penalty, then the 2nds time DOUBLE IT to 10 runs, 3rd times make it 20 runs..etc..

Then they would NEVER run on the pitch, cos 4 warnings would cost 75 runs (5+10+20+40).

what does the weather look like how long play do you think is left. i say 250 at end of day good score

dammit! i blinked and missed Afredi's inning ..lol

I was gonna say he's as likely to get out for a duck as a whirlwind innings..
