OMG Flintoff on a hatrick, what a whirlwind inns from Afridi ;)
And he misses it. But yet again Fredo has changed the course of the match.
5 wickets left and Pak only 181 runs ahead. That won't be enough if the collaspe.

Play will probly end for bad light in the next 30 mins or so...we need at least 2 more wickets, to make a Win a good chance.

Listening on DAB Radio, they say Freddie is now getting movement off the pitch? If this is the case then chasing on day 5 will be hard.

Rana is a deadly swing bowler and if the right Ahktar turns up, oh boy!
250 may well be a good total although if you are going to declear on that you have to make sure its still swinging. Surely Kaneria will come into play tommorow as well. Don't read too much into how these English spinners are going.

England are now in better position, this match can go to anyones hand.. i think Pakistan will be yet again defending a low total around 220 to 250 as the English bowlers are utilising the pitch very well, its now upto Pakistani bowlers how they utilize the pitch on day 5,Match totally depends on Akhtar,Rana & Kaneria's bowling perofrmances & on the other hand how England will bat on day 5 (Attack or Defend)...similar position as it was in the first test.Draw will be a tough task as batting on this pitch on day 5 is very tough

199/6 effectively.
You'd have England as marginal favourites imo were it not for their batting frailties.
Plus the fact that the Pakistan lower order can throw the bat and take the lead towards 300 pretty quickly.

I don't see that happening. TBH, I'd be happy with a 250 lead before they get bowled out. Not sure what's gonna happen tomorrow, but its definitely not gonna be boring.

i still think 300 would be a good score to defend. it may be hard to get there but if inzi can stay there you never know. pakistan cant afford to get out to quick if they aint got runs on the board. yes england can collapse but like day3 things were not going pakistans way and if that happens tomorrow and they aint got a great score to defend who knows wht can happen. england will want to win to keep the series wins to continue. it can still go both way

Edit: it still can be a draw

From here on in, whatever we chase will have to be a record fourth innings score at Faisalabad (apparently!). Plus, if what Salman Butt said is true, that the pitch is starting to misbehave and with our collapse prone batting line up, it's going to be very tough.

Turning out to be a fine series wouldn't you say lads, full of surprises, but seriously the umpiring doesn't seem up too scratch.

I thought I'd bring up something I heard mentioned on the radio this morning. The commentators were saying that they're using Kookaburra rather than Duke balls in this series which have a smaller seam and don't reverse swing. Apparantly Waqar Younis has been very vocal in his opposition to Kookaburra being used.
What does everyone else think?

edit: Udal's got Butt! :) missing again?

Nah hitting leg stump comfortably. Khan's dismissal was touch and go though.

This is turning to out to be really stupid umpiring. Butt ran after taken two-three steps in the middle the pitch sidewards. And I just saw the first warning: that was only about one step in the middle. For me it was a normal run.

No wonder that Sri Lanka, especially Muralitharan, hates Hair.

The second time was definitely a right call by the umpire, he went to run down the off side then switched to the on side. Whether he done it on purpose or not, it was the right call by the umpire. First time was harsh though.

Will we see England batting in the dark again? :D

Fairly close day just edged to England.

Story of the day.

Inzi ran 2 3's.

Naved-ul-Hasan can bat. Pak could well bat to lunch and then declear. Sami and Ahktar are very capable with the bat.

That was disappointing last session by Pakistan. I didn't follow that. I expected quick runs in the end of Afridi, but too bad he went out. Lead is now 199. I hope Pakistan reaches 250. That would be a good enough runchase for England.

Highest reached target in that ground is 188-7 there:

And highest scored runs in fourth innings in that ground is 242-6

Inzi saying that Pakistan are looking to make 60-70 runs in 15-20 overs, and that chasing 250 on this pitch is quite hard for any team.

As I said if they bat to lunch England have no basically no chance of getting 250. On the 5th day wicket and only 2 sessions that would be near impossible. The only problem is can Pak bowl out England.
