Kallis wicket followed by Pollock of the next ball by Simon JOnes was the turning point of the match.

SA lack the bowling prowess to topple the English batting line-up. Decent test match though.

Strauss was somewhat Bradmanesque, 220 runs with one dismissal. I think he made the major difference between the 2 teams. South Africa were some 100 runs short of what would have been a challenging target.

South Africa are just very unfortunate (just like India were) coz when your batsmen aren't in form, the team's undergoing frequent changes,... There could be nothing worse than playing in-form teams such as England (or Australia). Time to play Bangladesh. :)

I reckon 3-1 Eng. simply because, well we are a better team and because we have better players and are stronger both mentally and physicall (even though we've been a bit short of match practice of late).

Awesome match for Andrew Strauss,he really is looking like a future great.

2nd Test Stumps Day 1

Toss: South Africa

England 1st Inning 139 (Pollock 4/32, Ntini 3/41)
South Africa 1st Inning 70/3 (Harmison 2/20)

South Africa trail by 69 runs with 7 wickets remaining in the 1st innings

if eng can post 350+ were in with a good chance.

If we do, id say it would be a great comeback.......even better than th one in 2003 where freddie and tres done the damage.

Lets hope for more of the same.

2nd Test Stumps Day 3

England 1st Inning 139 (Pollock 4/32, Ntini 3/41)
South Africa 1st Inning 332 (Kallis 162) (Harmison 2/91, Hoggard 3/58))
England 2nd Inning 281/1 (Trescothick 132, Strauss 132*)

England lead by 88 runs with 9 wickets remaining

Ha Ha! England come right back. Now they should quickly build up a lead of 350+ and try to put SA in pressure. This is going to be a dream series for A. Strauss. 377 runs already with 2 tons at an average of 188.xx in just 2 matches!! Awesome. Go Pommies Go!!

now England are right back in to the game and they might be able to win or end with a draw. and Strauss is in very good form and is a very good player... we can except lots of great things from him

Wow...strauss is definetely on target for being the player of the series.

England 2nd Inning 570/7 declare (Trescothick 132, Strauss 136, Thorpe 118, G.Jones 73) (Ntini 2/111)
