Glad to see other people start to call for Rashid, but what are the chances of England picking him?

The pitch in Barbados should be the quickest one so far. I'm not sure about the one in St, Lucia, never watched a match played there.

Here in St.Lucia the BCG is a pretty flat wicket, yielding 265-285 thereabout...

Of the 9 ODIs we have won 5 with one "no decision", we have played England twice and beaten them, looking for that run to continue.

By the way mate how is Solid Gold doing down in de sister island?? Is Gros Islet still a hot spot to party???

Seal the series at 2-1 with 2 to play? Or is it not a 5-match series?

Disappointing from England. Getting Freddie back at Barbados, hopefully, will be a massive boost to us. Need to see what the pitch will do, see no place for Batty. If we play a spinner, it needs to be the attacking option, someone who can actually get it past the bat. Batty should easily go for 6 by any decent international attack, and he won't take several wickets, Rash may be as expensive, even more so infact, but at least he has the chance of picking up 3 wickets. Last time I saw him bowl was in a Pro40 game for Yorks, he was excellent.

It's time we stop piddling about and give the man a chance.

Shah was way too slow today. It's so frustrating, he has the obvious talent, but he cannot pull it together as often as he should.

Credit to the WI, you outplayed us.

Last time in Barbados

Batty 3-0-22-0

Haha Solid Gold have you been there before? As for Gros Islet oh yea mate, still the "limelight" spot to chill out with your girls or guys. Very good weather down here, April 3rd promises a very good match to see.

Been to Tyron's , trying to see if I can get out of DA to come down for that ODI, not sure yet with the flights, but I know it will be a kill and an all night after party!!!!

wow Powell actually got dropped after only one ODI :happy, and Rampaul gets a call up after some steady performances in domestic cricket. Smith also out with Richards coming in, I don't understand why they called up Smith for the ODIs in the 1st place.

Woot, even tms have joined the Rashid bandwagon, now, only Dan remains against Rashid. :boxing

My team for friday.

Strauss
Bopara
Shah
Pietersen
Collingwood
Prior
Flintoff
Rashid
Broad
Harmison
Anderson

Now call me a douche but that looks like a strong team to me, well as strong as we can muster. Rashid can dazzle the Indies batsmen with his Leg break, flipper and googlies. Yes, he can bowl them all. :happy:hpraise:clap:cheers:onpc

Dimi >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rashid. Especially at Barbados which is generally a seamers wicket.

Also, you say he has all these variations, you've seen them then?........:p

Lol, you know the answer to that. However, last night i was listening to test match special, and he was the 'hot' topic. That bold guy, i forget his name Simon? He says he can bowl them all, thats good enough for me. ;)

I'd be happy to see him given a go in the series, but not in the next game, probably not at either Barbados game tbh. I say give him a go at St Lucia if we've won the series. If not, then sorry, he's not in the side. I'd rather see him in the side over Batty, even though Batty bowled better in the warm up, but that's not exactly high praise, Batty offers nothing. Possibly the worst England selection for years, and that's saying something considering Amjad and Pattinson in recent times!
