What the hell does Dawson have to do to get into the squad?!

Smalling can play either right back or centre back so he probably just edges it for that reason. The problem with Dawson is that he is incredibly slow.

Nah he is not quick for sure, but certainly not "incredibly slow". Dawson has the same speed as Jaigelka really.

Hmm once ENG qualify i always suspected that the possibility of us being in a "Group of death" or facing a BIG side in the group phase was very likely as the case was in 2002. ENG have managed to avoid these scenario's in the last two world cups.

I've rated Osman ever since he almost single-handedly kept Derby in the Championship nearly a decade ago but Everton's always been his level.

I thought Hodgson might have persisted with Osman more since selecting him last November. His chances of going the Brazil presuming ENG qualify is still strong though once Everton has a good season.

Osman doesn't have the legs. he shouldn't go to the world cup.

Well that's the thing with Osman IMO. He fairly mobile for his age, not too far of what Cleverley or Henderson pace & he is a more complete player than then currently.
