Hansen is dead right and its disappointing that we couldn't get Frimpong to switch over like Welbeck.

He makes a good point about alot of people stereotyping Cole as #10 over the years, when technically his best period as a professional footballer @ Chelsea came as a winger, playing in Mourinho's 4-3-3 formation.

Plus he is right to suggest of late maybe Walcott is suffering from the same thing with suggestions that Wenger should play him behind Van Persie more.

On the bright side for Cole, given that Capello is playing 4-3-3 with England now - and impressive season for Lille and he will certainly be back in contention again. Only problem is that competition with the wing options is damn stiff..

Ye. At the end of the day it is too late for him. A fit a firing Rooney, Welbeck, Carroll, Defoe and Bent are ahead of him in the pecking order for EURO 2012.

I agree that England should look at someone else other than Redknapp but Wenger is a bit of a strange one. I think it's fair to say he's on the decline as a manager. He peaked when he introduced diets, stats analysis and outside the box roles to the Premiership in the late 90's, early noughties. Now this is the norm for the majority of teams. What's interesting is that Nasri said after joining City that Wenger hardly talks about tactics and it's just about getting good players to play well. Can a manager afford to do this in knockout tournaments? Hasn't really worked for him in recent years.

The options for next England manager aren't great tbh. Hodgson? His style would waste the great talent at his disposal. Warnock? Not good enough and an annoying prick. Holloway? Don't make me laugh.
