I didn't get the impression that he is out of EURO's based on what Wenger said though.

Once Cleverly comes back in the next few months and displays that early season form - he has to go to EUROs to be frank.

Yeah, the harsh reality is that as is mentioned right at the end, each player in that midfield plays for each other. They are all happy to give the ball to each other, and then take it back.

England have been hamstrung by the hollywood football mentality of the 'golden generation.' Two short passes and then a 50 yard diagonal that is pinged to an isolated winger. At no point has keeping the ball, teamwork, or selflessness ever applied to the England team since about 1996.

Britton never would have worked, because the likes of Gerrard and Lampard would be too busy playing low percentage passes and attempting to hit 30 yard screamers. If it wasn't so obvious for the entire time, it might have been funny.

Who are we going to have as captain now, there aren't many stand-out candidates. Gerrard is unreliable fitness wise, Wilshere too young and Rooney is unavailable for the first two matches.

This terry situation is a mess and its a dangerous de ja vu to proceeding leading into the world cup.

It seems their is some serious bad blood between Terry and Ferdinand also and it looks like its going to be impossible that these two will be the central defensive pair during the world cup.

Plus the bad news that Wilshire may struggle to be fit in time for the EUROs a hot mess is developing here.

Gerrard has to be captain now and although he will miss the first two games - Rooney has to be vice captain.
