5-0 up at half time - compare that with the performance against this team on our own patch! Just like that game, they're putting everyone behind the ball, only now we've been able to unlock them time and again - at Wembley, we looked clueless at times. OK, it's only San Marino but this is the sort of football that won us the game against Brazil. If we keep up the pressure, I can see five or six more in the second half. Great finish by the San Marino defender, Wayne wouldn't have done any better had the ball got to him.

As the guys are saying now, what's the point of San Marino being spanked every game they play? How can they possibly have any sort of chance of developing as a footballing nation? A pre-qualifying tournament would make sense - although that would deprive us of a banker six points.

They have a population of about 30,000 which is quite less, but to concede 117 goals without scoring one themselves since 2008 is beyond extraordinary though!

Pretty good. He basically ran the game from mid-field.

The english media is real mess. For 10 months everyone was blasting Hodgson for not picking ferdinand, ascribing all sorts of outlandish theories as to the sinister reasons Hodgson was doing this.

So now that Ferdinand was picked, but then dropped out, despite having a face to face discussion with Hodgson as to why this occurred & in a joint statement stating all was well - the media someone don't believe this.

Now they turn full circle on Ferdinand to point where they are twisting his words just to get a headline. My word...
