Confirmed: @qpeedore is SamuelsMarlon Samuels? Curious as to how you are privy to that bit of information.
I am not he but kudos to the WI for a hard fought day. We're in the lead on a pitch that seems about as green as the outfield. We need to build hard on this because batting last isn't going to be a nice prospect.
Agreed, putting England’s batsman to shame as they have adapted to conditions so much betterWhile we figure out the real identity of @qpeedore, Darren Bravo and Dowrich have somehow taken the lead to 50. Bravo has been strokeless but hung in there. This is the difference between this side and some of the other WI sides of the recent past. The ability to hang in there and fight it out is refreshing.
Funnily enough I feel England won’t win eitherI have a feeling England won't win this match, so I'm rooting for Alzarri Joseph to get a five-for.
Can't see it happening on this pitch. This looks like the perfect situation for England's lower order to bail them out. This is looking too similar to Indian tour of England where England's lower order saved them from disaster in every single game.
It may be very early to say but Rory Burns does not seem to go long in Test Cricket with that technique. He is way too leg side player and does not have a the grit of Graeme Smith as of now to wait for the ball to be bowled in his area of strength. The way Roach bowls, he would be more than happy to dish him short of good length bowls at 5th/6th stump line from round the wicket.
