Looks like Root will miss the T20 World Cup as well as the rest of this tour.

I don't know who's decision it was to call up Ian Bell as his replacement, but if he makes the World Cup squad..... :facepalm

England made a huge mistake by not playing Moeen Ali and Stephen Parry yesterday. Tredwell bowled beautifully.

Sunil Narine picked up what looked like a nasty knee injury so it will be interesting to see what damage he has done and if he'll miss the WT20.

We need to get back to 5 bowlers. 2 spinners minimum with the World Cup to look forward too, so I'm all for Parry coming in. Bopara either needs to be moved up the order to replace Root, or left out to allow Moeen Ali to come in. Either way they provide the 6th bowling option. Stokes could move down to 7 as the 5th bowler, but I'm not convinced whether he's good enough to bowl 4 overs regularly.

It's just beyond words how Ian Bell is our next best T20 batsman apparently. Giles effect coming into full force there. Kieswetter, Carberry, Shah, Ballance and plenty of others should be in ahead of him for me.

He did not need a scan is all set to play in the next match.

Another bad start costing us the chance of making the game a bit closer. I still don't get what Lumb brings to this team. He's poor, despite his ODI ton.

The power in that WIndies line up is incredible though. You imagine they'll be close to winning the World Cup again.

Between him and the hole at 3, we'll do well to win a game at the World Cup.

Joe Root in my opinion has that hole fully covered.

Who's your top 3 then looking ahead to the WC?

Hang on are you referring to the T20 WC or the 50 over WC?

It's OK, I have no doubt that Ian Bell will somehow be picked in the team come the World Cup, probably at 3. :rolleyes
