England and Ireland Tour West Indies (ODI & T20 Only) (Feb-March 2014)

Irerland win toss and bat first v West Indies !

Ireland again locking horns with the West Indies this time in 50 over ODI, should be another epic encounter with Ireland all to gain and the mighty Windies everything to lose !

Bring it on ! :yes

Ireland set the Windies just over 200 to win and they're going to have to bowl out of their skins once more to pull off another victory over the calypso kings, but as they've recently shown in the previous two T20 matches, they're well capable of knocking over the high & mighty !

Bring it on ! :yes

Even so, it speaks volumes for an associate nation, their players, coach, (himself a former great West Indian cricketer) and all the other support group behind the Irish team when they can take on and compete with teams who are ranked much higher than they are in the world ranking status!

Onwards and upwards for Ireland and maybe soon they will achieve their 'holy grail' and one day be granted full Test membership ! :yes

Yeah i'm looking forward to seeing Ireland play against Zimbabwe in the World T20 qualifier.

Ireland have already qualified !

He meant the qualification stage which 7 of those qualified teams and Bangladesh teams will have to go through before the start of the group stages of the World Cup.

I know it did not make sense to conduct the World T20 qualifiers in Dubai at the first place, but for a change we'll be seeing quite a few low ranked teams competing at the highest level.

Amazing knock by Sammy but it will be interesting to see what happens now that England have got a good start

Standard England - ****kin' up as per usual!

The only positives to come from that are Lumb and Moeen Ali.

The main positive is another loss on Giles record. Also those fields Broad set for Sammy and Bravo were hilarious, straight out of Cricket 97.

I also like how Broad shat the bed and sent Jordan on at the death instead of himself, reality letting by example there Stuart.

who's this Parry guy and why haven't a heard of him before?

Also, I love the fact that when England play four spinners, with one (Root) definately being a part-timer and one (Ali) definately being picked for his batting; Tredwell is still the worst spinner in the England team...
