England tour to South Africa December 2015/February 2016

I didn't see much of Jordan's bowling today. Was it any good? If not, it might be time for Broad.

Wasn't particularly bad overall but was nothing hugely special. Morgan suggested at the toss anyway that Broad was being held back for the 2nd half of the series.

I think Broad in for Jordan does make us stronger, but the only issue is that he probably shouldn't be taking the new ball. Be interesting to see if he does take it if he does come back in.

I'll say the same for Jordan as I have done for Woakes. He doesn't seem to be able to move the ball.

If that super over wasn't a fluke and he can bowl Yorkers when he wants, then I'd have him in the t20 side, but that's about it. I watch Surrey all of the time and Tom Curran is definitely better that him.

Poor batting display. One of ab,jp,faf or qdk should have gotten a 100 after getting in. 260 is never going to be enough in modern one day cricket.

Our spinners were totally outbowled by their england counterparts or did our batsman allow their spinners to bowl to them?

The 5th bowler remains a problem and there is no real solution as none of the options are good enough to bat at number 7.

Would like to see a spot found for david miller. Has an x factor that this team needs.

Would Roussow or Behardien score significantly more runs than Morris?

Also, what is Morris' IPL salary all about? Crazy

Rossouw definitely ( don't think his decision on saturday should have been reviewed btw. was pretty convinced the time had already run out when england signalled for it but that's just one of those things) is a better batsman then morris, his first class average of 44 compared to morrs's 31 says it all. Also behardien does average 40 as well. Its an ongoing problem that is not easy to solve, really missing a pollock/klusener type currently :(

As for ipl its the second time Chris has gotten a crazy deal. No idea why but they seem to really like him.

A first class average north of 40 is great, but to bat at 7 in an ODI just needs somebody who can have a hit in the final 10-15 overs. SA won't win anything if they persist with 4 bowlers.

Can't decide whether or not I'd like Jordan or Broad to play today. I'm all in favour of giving people a fair go, so perhaps stick with Jordan. But it seems daft to have an experienced, world class bowler in SA as an understudy. Woakes has the right to feel a little annoyed as he was good in the last series in UAE, but his tour performances so far must be counting against him.

The selectors have chosen common sense then.

That was terrible from Roy. Real modern batting trait of not running the first hard.

Not really if they want to bring wiese in it should have been one of behardien or duminy making way. Not convinced about this either way. Wiese is a good bowler in t20's but usually struggles in the 40/50 over stuff, hope he proves me wrong.

I agree we need a 5th bowler. I just don't see someone capable of filling the role currently. So its either go with bits and pieces cricketers (which is a never a good idea idea) or go with a batsman/bowler. Currently the lack of a real allrounder is causing big issues.

I agree in that I probably would've dropped Behardien instead. Anyway, it's early but Wiese is bowling okay.

Wiese shouldnt be in the team, he isnt good enough at batting to make it as a batsmen or good enough to make it as a bowler, he's kind of a jack of all trades which we definantly dont need...

I think this is definitely going to be Jordan's last game of the series
