Good story here, really impressed with the effort you put in. England seem to be in a commanding position here. They got away with a hell of a lot of slip chances lol.

India Try To Fight Back

India begin their fightback in the first test match, getting to 164-6 at the end of day 2.
The evening session started well for India, with Ganguly hitting fours straight from the off,and the England bowlers were no threat to both Ganguly and Laxman. But then,an inspired bowling change bought a wicket with Jones getting Ganguly caught with his first ball back into the attack. From then on runs were hard to come by,and just before the end of the days play,Giles took a supeb catch off his own bowling to get rid of Ratra.

So a better session for India, but they are still 170 runs behind with 4 wickets in hand.
Join us tomorrow for day 3,Goodbye!

Session highlights is being processed, because youtube made me change the song:(

India begin their fight back!

India had an excellent afternoon session, taking 4 wickets, and limiting England to 87-4 at tea.
England lost their first wicket with 29,when Vaughan went for a hook shot and was caught for 7.With the score still on 29,Butcher went for an attacking cover driver, but only succeeded in being caught by Kumble for 18.
Thorpe came in and got off the mark with a boundary, but then amazingly called for a quick single and ran out his captain for just 1.5 more runs were added when Crawley was bowled by Kumble, leaving England struggling on 39-4.
But,Thorpe and Flintoff steadied the ship for England, and got them to tea, with Thorpe leading the way on 38 and Flintoff on 15.
So,India had a great session, but with Thorpe and Flintoff looking good,it will still be hard work to get anything from this match.
Join us soon.Goodbye!

Thorpe and Flintoff have given England a nice lead and if they can keep this partnership going then perhaps England can get a lead too big for India. They had a few too many wickets to start with but as long as they can get a lead big enough to defend, it should be a good end to the match.

Also you kept writing Sri Lanka in your update? :p

Good presentation and the video is top notch mate, keep it up.

Two wickets lost at the end of day 3

India got two more wickets in the final session of day 3,but,it might not be enough,as England got to 167-6 at the end of play, with a lead of 288.
The session started well, with Thorpe and Flintoff getting a 50 partnership, and both looked like scoring big.But in came Kumble. He bowled Flintoff with a fast short pitch flipper, that Flintoff tried to hit big,and the ball smashed into the stumps,Flintoff going for 33 off 88.Kumble was finding alot of spin, and he then bowled Thorpe for a well earned 70 off 95 balls. It was then the inform White and Foster at the crease, and they stayed their till the end of day, with just the one edge from White.
So at the end of day 3,its still looking good for India. If they can improve from their first innings total, then they should have no problems getting anything around 300.

England Struggle With The Bat,But Make Up With The Ball

The morning started with a boundary from Foster, but then England lost their first wicket,a silly runout with White being dismissed for 10.Soon after Foster went for 22 and it was going downhill for England.England's last hope Giles went for just 3.Jones got England's final boundary before Kumble rapped up the innings, taking 4-47,leaving England 183 all out,India requiring 304 to win.
With the score at 14,Sehwag was runout for 10.Jaffer was playing well at the start, hitting 3 fours. But White got the break-through,hitting Jaffer's off-stump,with Jaffer departing for 22.Dravid was then caught by White off the bowling of Jones for 7.
In came Ganguly to rescue India, hitting 3 fours in his first 5 balls.Despite being expensive,Jones got the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar, who edged to first slip for just one.But then Ganguly hit four boundaries before India got to lunch with the score at 83-4.
England have given themselves a great chance at saving the match, but there's still alot of batting to come from India, and Ganguly is looking good in the middle.India 221 runs behind with 6 wickets in hand.
Join us soon for the rest of the days play.Goodbye

Highly Unlikely For India Now!

India have once again let themselves down with the bat, leaving England needing just 2 more wickets to rap up the match.
The afternoon got off to a flier, with the partnership passing 50,and also Ganguly reaching his 50 in just 41 balls.
But Hoggard came into the attack, and removed Laxman for 10 off 44 to put India on the back foot.Ratra could only manage 6 before being runout.
Agarkar was out for a duck, being bowled by Giles.
Then 2 balls before the end of the session,Kumble was caught behind off Hoggard.
It looks like its game over for India.Their hope lies in the weather, but its not forecast to rain for a long time!Ganguly is looking good as he nears his century, but with over a day and 150 more runs left, its highly unlikely that this match will end up anything other than a convincing win by England.

England Win First Npower Test Match

India have been bowled out for 173 in the final innings of the match,as England win by 131 runs.
It was pretty much all over when Ganguly was caught LBW by Giles for a well earned 89.It was then up to Matthew Hoggard to rap up the game,Khan edging to gully for 12.
So,the end of the first test at Leeds.Englands batting is still up for question, but their bowling was sensational,India not getting above 250 in both innings.
The second test will be from Lord's,with the forecast sunny for the whole test.I hope you can join us then.
Goodbye!
