Post Match Analysis

David Gower: Welcome back. Well we have another comprehensive win for England, with which they win the series 2-0.

Michael Vaughan and Simon Jones have been named man of the series or rather men of the series. And I dont think anyone can question that?

Ian Botham: Definately not, unless you are an idiot ofcourse. Vaughan has been superb with the bat, I mean two double hundreds is no joke, regardless of who you are playing against. Its requires lots of concentration, skill and confidence, all of which are very much present in the England captain.
And Simon Jones has also performed exceedingly well in this series. Fifteen wickets is awesome stuff really for a lad who has pretty much been in the shadows of Matthew Hoggard and Steve Harmison. But with James Anderson also doing well, it'll be interesting to see who England go with for the Ashes.

David Gower: and I also thought it was fair to name Paul Collingwood the Man of the Match.

Ian Botham: Well Vaughan would have taken that one too had he not already received the MOM at Lords, so I guess we can afford not to select him again. But Collingwood has done an excellent allround job for England, and if he does well in the one dayers too I am pretty certain he will be one of the six batsmen in the England starting lineup for the Ashes.

David Gower: And Bangladesh have had a pretty disappointing tour, but I am sure they will take a lot out of this. They surely have learnt a lot from these two test matches that will help them in future tournaments and tours.

Ian Botham: Yes, and lets hope they do indeed take something from here and do well in the future. But its not over for them just as yet. They have now got to deal with both England and Australia in the Natwest Series.

David Gower: Well that brings us to the end of this broadcast. Its been a pretty entertaining test series, and it was nice to see some of the younger England players take responsibility in their hands and do well. Bangladesh havent had the best of times, but lets hope this can be a good learning curve in their development into a good international side in the coming years.

Anyways, we will meet you next for the Twenty20 International match between England and Australia LIVE from the Rosebowl, on the 14th of June. Till then from all of us here at the Riverside ground, its goodbye.

Great win there! Glad to hear you playing the 20:20 match. Personally I battle to adapt to the 20 Overs game.

Giles blow for England

England spinner Ashley Giles is almost certainly ruled out of the Natwest Series after sustaining a hip injury
_41182437_giles203.jpg

England are set to announce their Natwest Series squad today and it seems very unlikely that Ashley Giles will feature in it.
Giles has been in superb form for his county side Warwickshire, by taking 24 wickets in four Championship matches. Giles was rested for the test series against Bangladesh, but was permitted to represent his county in the Frizzell Championship.

England will name its squad for the Natwest Series later today.

atleast batty will get a chance now. hopefully he will perform and challenge giles for a place in the squad

If u did go through the stats above, Batty got a total of seven wickets in the series, which was pretty decent, considering the number of overs he got to bowl.

Do you use the game's injury option or do you keep up with realism? I've never used the games injury option and was wondering how it is...

Anyway, this is once again a very detailed and enjoyable presentation!

Basically when you play in a tour your player might get injuried and he will be out for 4 weeks or even more then 4 months.

cheers

i think its tough using the game's injury option.. i would prefer keeping up with realism.. dont know how siddarth is doing!! i have noticed that players get injured only during tournaments, not while playing exhibition matches!!!! since i play my stories as exhibition matches, never encountered them at all

and what did I told him :D

The most successful Bangladesh bowler has only 3 wickets of 2 test matches.

Simon Jones the most successful bowler has 5 times more wickets than the most successful Bangladesh bowler.

Nice stats mate, it is fun to keep stats and look back at it after a while.

BTW how is that the html shows as picture here. I am capturing html as jpg and posting on the forums as I can't upload html. How did you make the stats show in a single post mate?

Cheers
