holy cow...this is by far the best thing ive ever seen on PC. absolutely stunning mate.

Well my prediction of 150 before one of Hayden or Langer goes didnt turn out good, but now its Hayden and Punter they will need to break a partnership. Aussies in control at the moment

Solid start so far apart from the loss of Langer. Will need a partnership here as this game is still in the balance.

good wicket for England. they need to build on it to have a chance now
Yes and to build on it they need Monty to come on and either get a few wickets or stop the runs flowing.

Come on England Fans lets get some posting up :D

Whats that coming over the hill is it a monster no it's monty!!I agree he will perform on his ashes debut turn or no turn

Australia command in 1st session , Flintoff proved expensive

Matthew Hoggard got the first breakthrough for England as he bowled out Langer who was playing well on 38. Certainly the ball was swinging for Hoggard and he was causing some trouble for the left handers. The loss of J.Langer brought Australian captain Ricky Ponting to the crease. Ponting has an impressive record in Test matches and is averaging nearly 60 and already has 31 centuries to his name.

Ricky Ponting came in to bat and straight away Flintoff bowled a short delivery to him and Ponting was in some sort of trouble . The ball was onto him in a flash but he managed to keep it down after hitting the gloves. But then after facing few balls Ponting was looking comfortable and then started to play his shots . Flintoff was going for runs Ponting smashed 2 boundaries both on the offside . Ponting has already started hitting boudaries but England need to keep the runs down so that pressure will be on Australia as they are used to score quickly even in test matches.

England needed wickets and it didnt take long for captain M.Vaughan to throw the ball to Monty Panesar . There was a huge roar from England fans as they saw Monty coming to bowl. Monty is making his Ashes debut here at The Gabba and he is a promising spinner who bowled well in the ICC Champions Trophy as well. Monty will be looking to get through the Australian top order and create a mark of himself in test history.

Hayden was lucky to survive again as Monty bowled a good length ball which spun a bit after pitching and the ball was in the air after hitting the gloves of Hayden but there was no second slip in place for Hayden and the ball landed safely . Since the lunch time was approaching Hayden was not trying to play his shots but was looking for singles . But Monty was not looking nervous in the 2 overs he bowled . He bowled with confidence and was never afraid to pitch the ball up to the batsmen inviting them for the drive. Vaughan showed good tactics as he placed an aggressive field for Ponting with a slip, a short leg and a silly point in place . Vaughan was looking for the vital wicket of Ponting and if Ponting starts scoring then its difficult to get his wicket .

Last over of the 1st session was bowled by Andrew Flintoff who proved to be expensive in this session but managed to give only 1 run in the last over before lunch . Hayden was safely negotiated the last ball and umpire called lunch as Australia finished the 1st session scoring 99 runs by losing 1 wicket . This session belonged to Australia .

more cracking stuff gamer.Top quality. England need a wicket quickly. They played way to many batsmen imo and Broad should play!

Bleeding runs here. Freddie needs to strike. Get a short-leg in and pepper Haydo with bouncers...
