Hayden's Ton Put Aussies Back On Track

After losing 4 wickets before tea it seemed like Australia are on the backfoot and England had a chance to restrict them inside 300 . But Hayden and Clarke got a partnership going and Australia are fighting their way back in the match and now things are looking even again . The decision of Billy Bowden proved costly as Hayden went on to score his 27th test century . Hayden played a lovely cover drive which was fielded in the deep by Strauss but Hayden managed to pick up couple of runs to take his score in three figures and scoring yet another test century . He took 184 balls to reach his century and is still unbeaten on 103 off 186 balls as Australia reach 250 for the loss of 4 wickets in 66 overs
100 for Hayden

Hayden smashed 13 boundaries in his unbeaten knock on 103 and he scored his runs in each and every part of the ground . He was equally strong on the legside and on the offside and was stronger playing behind square on both sides of the wicket . He played his straight drive nicely and score 7 boundaries in that region. He played a patient knock till now and Australia needed him to stay at the crease as they were in some spot of bother after looking 4 wickets before tea. M.Clarke is giving good support to Hayden as he is playing defensively and giving most of the strike to Hayden and getting the scoreboard ticking along.

Australia have reached 250/4 in 66 overs and still few more overs left in the days play . Its a crucial final hour for both the teams and if Australia lose couple of wickets at this stage then they will be in real trouble as England will then get a chance to bowl Australia out inside 350. Hayden and Clarke are still at the crease with Gilchrist, Warne and Brett Lee to follow. Still Australia have Gilchrist who can turn things around by scoring at a quicker rate and they have bowlers who can bat well and get crucial runs on the board. England still have a tough job ahead and they should really look to attack in this final hour of play.
Still to bat
