Not even 40 we managed so far.We might get around a 60 in next 5 overs. If Hardik stays it may well be 80!!!!!
SKY would've managed well over 70 in these many deliveries. That is why I believe Iyer is more like a OD batsman than a T20I specialistbrilliant 50 under pressure from Shreyas Iyer

They scored 37Not even 20 managed so far
Might be going against the popular opinion here but do you really think that when a top 4 with over 200 t20is of experience manage 26 runs amongst themselves, that a debutant will somehow make the team score "over 70 in 5 overs"? It is one thing to question the selection of Iyer in the first place and another thing to make statements like theseNot even 40 we managed so far.

Honestly Iyer wasted many balls and never attacked when he should, he need not be in the T20 squad!Might be going against the popular opinion here but do you really think that when a top 4 with over 200 t20is of experience manage 26 runs amongst themselves, that a debutant will somehow make the team score "over 70 in 5 overs"? Exactly what @NePtuNe Gaming said, you should give Iyer some credit. The bowling from England was superb, and Iyer played at a 130+ strike rate, when the most aggressive batsmen (Pant and Hardik) in the team scored under run a ball. Not even 40 we managed so far.

Some of you guys can't stop talking on how great SKY is can you? He did have a great IPL but it doesn't make sense to harp on about him if he hasn't even made his India debut in any format. International cricket is a different place than the IPL and domestic cricket, there's no telling what SKY could've or wouldn't have done, especially on debut if he played today.SKY would've managed well over 70 in these many deliveries. If if wasn't for Iyer's 'slow' batting, India probably wouldn't have managed 100.Some of you guys can't stop talking on how great SKY is can you? Iyer played an excellent innings amidst the circumstances, you have to give him that. I think people have forgot he played a couple of match winning innings in NZ last year at a pretty high strike rate and did well in the opportunities he's been given. I think he's got the ability to change gears as he's shown a couple of times, and he'll likely get better. SKY will come into the reckoning at some point but can't say if he'll be an great No.4 if he hasn't played a game yet.

Yeah maybe I was a little to harsh on Iyer. It was indeed a great innings. I got more into the technical aspect of Iyer's game(that deficiency of his game against the short ball aimed at his body) than factual.International cricket is a different place than the IPL and domestic cricket, there's no telling what SKY could've or wouldn't have done, especially on debut if he played today.
He averages 23.7 at 133 strike rate batting at 4-7. 52.45 at 153 opening.Don't understand why England would open with Buttler. Not that he can't, but finishers like him are rare in world cricket, let alone just England.
I also think that if Bairstow is to play, then that's his best spot.
But opening batsmen like Buttler are even more rare in T20 cricket (unless England think about getting Hales back in)Not that he can't, but finishers like him are rare in world cricket, let alone just England.
I think it is because Sundar is an off-spinner and two right-handed batsmen are batting.Apart from the best power play bowler in the side, everyone bowled in the power play.
