England's tour of India - 2021

Thank you England for defeating the Indians.

India at this point may not get pass the preliminary stage of the T20 WC. They are yet to grasp T20 cricket! Very very disgusting display and absolutely nothing positive from the Indians today. I still regard Kohli as the best batsman in the world but outside of him this team lacks substance in their batting!
I think this account is being used by Michael Vaughan :D (Just Saying)

I don't understand the huge outcry about our loss. Most of it seems to stem from the fact that Rohit ans SKY weren't in the team. While definitely valid, I doubt if the scoreline will be any different when the series end even if we play at full strength.

England are the strongest team in T20s and India, dont know why, don't seem to fit correctly in this format (T20I). Funnily enough this is not the case for non-international matches like IPL.

So it's no surprise that England beat us convincingly today. They will continue to do so and that probably will spill over to ODIs as well, another format in which they are a beast.

Didn't india white wash NZ in their home in the T20I series last year? And beat Aus 2-1?

And won the T20 team of the year here at PC?
New Zealand series was a series where India escaped a 3-2 loss. We lost to Bangladesh as well. Australia series was actually a good one. South Africa beat us comprehensively at Bengaluru back in 2019. We do struggle at times in this format. But I would disagree that we are terrible in this format. Infact we have shown a lot of improvement post Dhoni.

Oh my feel sorry for you buddy. Better luck to your team next time.
They aren't even part of this series. :lol

We only won once. Under dhoni. His debut lead.
No not the Captain. I was talking about Dhoni in 2018-19 who was terribly managed by the team. And since his position was taken up by hitters like Hardik & Pant we improved massively in this format.

Oh that. Right.

Great win and much more comfortable than expected.

We know India don't take kindly to losing the first game of a series so I'm looking forward to the shambles of a pitch we'll have for the next four games

No wonder Australia lost the test series versus India in their own backyard, if only they allowed them the courtesy of a victory in the first game, they would have avoided the wrath of the BCCI's pitch altering nanobots.

Kohli had an average 2015, and went absolutely nuts in 2016. I think he might just dominate the IPL and WT20 again this year.

I would like to see how England perform on this pitch when they are asked to bat first. This was a "bat second and win" type pitch where the dew aids batting in the 2nd half. When there is no dew, its actually quite tough.

India is expected to make a comeback and thats the most consistent script going around. There are no favorites in T20 and as long as India get their lineup right, they will be a force in home conditions. But to me, England have a far superior T20 team (after they drastically changed their gameplay) and their plan to get maximum match practice through IPL by even letting players skip tests, is an amazingly wonderful thing. Their focus is in the right place, and its good for India that we get challenged by the better team in these conditions just few months before the T20 WC.

There was little to no due in the second innings. The toss was the least of the reasons why India lost. England simply bowled outstandingly and we played the wrong side as usual. Axar Patel did alright in the tests but he's not Jadeja and he needs to make way for a seamer. We are too spin heavy. Sundar is being wasted.
